There are fitter 70 year olds.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑21 Aug 2020, 13:53 Fury is still beating the drum that he's the fittest 50+ year old on the planet - Which he isn't.
Fair do's he's lost some timber though, and his confidence is back up.
The whole vid and the names he uses are a bit dubious!
My dad is 70 next week and he is fitter. He’s not a fighter, never has been, he’s an athlete, he can do 10k now in about 44 minutes. His pb is 31 minutes. Called up for the Olympics for race walking for Ireland, the guys a freak.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 12:20There are fitter 70 year olds.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑21 Aug 2020, 13:53 Fury is still beating the drum that he's the fittest 50+ year old on the planet - Which he isn't.

Wow. He’s 70 and basically knocking out 7 minute miles?mickey1975 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 19:15My dad is 70 next week and he is fitter. Brian McDermott, the former Leeds Rhinos coach trains at my pals boxing gym in Ripon. He’s in his 50’s and puts everyone to shame. He was a marine and a pro boxer once upon a time, used to knock every one on the pitch!
He drinks every day, and has since he was 15. Not too much. He’s inspirational, he lost my mother and sister in his early 30’s, so I think he has a ‘nothing can hurt me’ mentality.Frostieballs wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 19:22Wow. Meanwhile I’m chugging round, 25 years younger, 2 minutes a mile slower.
Don’t tell me he doesn’t watch his diet either?
Seriously impressive. With a PB of 31 he’s actually quicker at 70 running 44 mins in relation to the actual world record and age range records...mickey1975 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 19:15My dad is 70 next week and he is fitter. He did the 31 in his 40’s. He could race walk 10k at a stupid time 40 years ago.chinarich wrote: ↑06 Sep 2020, 03:00Seriously impressive. My dad does his own. It’s well documented his times in North Yorkshire. He stopped competing when he got to 31. He classes park runners as “joggers”.
