It's crazy, if they're pricing it at 25/1 when the rest of the market is going with 12s surely they want all the money I can throw at them? lol
I know mate it is crazy bookmaking really, if you take money at 25's you cut, surely you don't just cut the amount people can bet you cut your price, or at least that's how I used to do it when working for bookies in the past, once I had enough money on a price that was on offer then I shortened that and pushed other prices out to keep my percentages as they should be. Sadly that is a thing of the past, now they shorten the amount of money they take on a bet rather than back there compilers or prices against the punter.

As I say nowadays there are people being limited or closed down at bookmakers every day, they only take huge bets from there top punters because when they do there accounts (accountants as I said) at the end of the year Mr X may have bet 200k but he has only taken back 150k so Mr X gets what he wants when he asks for it. When they come to people like us they see that we have staked say 1k on boxing and got back 2k, that is an account they don't want, certainly not on boxing and subsequently they programme in a cut price offer to any boxing bets that person asks for.

It is dreadful but sadly will only get worse.
yeah man I know, I don't even bet any more that much is what gets me, so the accountants won't have any info for me this year at all. If I was taking them to the cleaners week on week and betting huge amounts I would get it, but I was trying to stake a hundred bloody quid!

I guess if you want to go large you have to take a worse price and go with Pinnacle, assuming they're still happy to take big bets.

Making money long term betting on boxing is relatively easy in terms of selections. The hard part, as anyone who makes money knows, is getting on.

Not helped by idiots who post about bets they are going to have before the bookies have priced up the fights/markets. The traders the bookies employ to price up the markets are reading your posts. Never underestimate how scrupulous bookies will be.

You are most definitely right, this day and age they have more info at there fingertips than ever before, some of them do there home work and others don't some are good knowledgeable guys and others just copy, there are mistakes every week and reading Boxing forums etc is a good source of knowledge for them and yes it would be great if we could limit what they get from us here but sadly we can't and as you say getting on anyway is a nightmare, they just limit the arse off us.

For example they will take a horse yankee off me (which I do for fun admittedly) that would take out 20k, yet they will not let me win more than £100 on a boxing bet, obviously that is because I lose on my horse bets and win primarily on my boxing bets, that being said they can only win 22 quid on my horse yankee and 100-200 on my boxing bets, risk reward scenario is a nonsense.

Get an account with every bookie - takes 2 mins per bookie and you get a free bet plus the choice of all the bookie prices.

Got them all mate, some take a little bit more from me but can't get more than 100 quid anywhere to be honest, one who shall remain nameless for reasons that a friend works there offered me 1.50 on a 33/1 round bet on the boxing the other day.

I don't deny I have had a few bob but not what you would imagine, I give a reasonable amount back on the gee gees but stay in profit with the boxing but they seem to take exception to that part of my punting. I would not mind one bit if I just came on to them each time took out a good few bob and they never saw me again until they cocked up a boxing price again and I did the same thing again and again but I don't.

In between the boxing bets there are horses, football, rugby union bets etc that lose as often as they win to be honest but just being decently up on boxing betting seems to have totally pissed them off tbh.

Still I shall keep going with my 1.50 and 4.63 bets and with some and 100 here and there with the other two firms until they block me as well, don't know what I will do then, presume it will be all over at that point punting wise.

Whilst most bookies are on at 8-1, I found 12-1 on Ishida. For a tall unbeaten fighter that looks a good price

Is he any good? I cant make head nor tail of him. Seen bits of him and he fought 2 debutants in his last 2 fights. Not ideal prep nor should it have been allowed as he was 20-0 at the time. Imagine the outcry in the UK if this would have happened.

Don't confuse "boxrec having no record" with "debutant", the two Thai's did have reported records (9-4 type of things IIRC), but as with Georgian fighters it's hard to REALLY know what a Thai's record is

I agree.

One bet stood out to me for the weekend.

Joshua 25/1 to beat Takam in rounds 10-12 with Paddy. Amazing price, most others have got this at 12s.

I feel like Joshua is going to be cautious in this one, he knows Takam has an iron head and there's no point in taking chances if he can just box and get rounds in the bag. If Carlos can hang in there, he can last till the championship rounds.

5/1 for Joshua in rounds 7-12 is great too. I just don't think Carlos is getting blasted out, especially if he shows he can stand up to some early shots. The obvious concern is the late replacement status.

Another problem is that Paddy seem to be very screening-happy these days. I haven't put a bet on for ages and they restricted me to 17.63 for the first bet. Lol.
Fkin gutted now I got screened so heavily on this. Was gonna put a ton on

Do you have PP shops in the U.K.? Not trying to be smart with you but you seemed to have a great hunch on this so it might have been worth a drive to lay on.

Well done, it was a great call. :TU:

Like the 4/7 on Chisora as well , watched a couple of Kabayel fights on youtube very limited , still didn't think Chisora lost to Whyte in a very close one , if Whyte was boxing Kabayel he'd be 1/6 on .
