Re: Betting thread
Stoke to beat crawley (minus matt runna) at evens looks good today
Re: Betting thread
Cheltenham Day 1.
1.30: Montbazon @ 7/1
2.05: Al Ferof @ 3/1
2.40: Mossley @ 14/1
3.20: Zarkander @ 7/1
4.00: Sizing Australia @ 6/1
4.20: Shop DJ @ 14/1
Quevega and Hurricane Fly will be hard beaten because they are machines but I always look for value at Cheltenham and have gone each way on all except the 2.05. Best of luck to any others who are betting on the Festival.

Re: Betting thread
A decision double tonight looks like good value. Martinez is 15/8 for decision/technical decision & Brook is evens. Just under 5s for the double

It's a good bet but I also fancy a Martinez stoppage 11 or 12.freddydoesdallas wrote:A decision double tonight looks like good value. Martinez is 15/8 for decision/technical decision & Brook is evens. Just under 5s for the double
Re: Betting thread
Seem to be in a minority but I felt Brook would stop him when the fight was first announced so have just had £100 at 6/4 with Betfred for that, good luck everyone

Yeah nothing major either. If I'd been down after Cheltenham I'd of chased it with some big bets on the boxing especially after a few beers but I was up for the first time ever so I played it cool and only staked a few quid.freddydoesdallas wrote:Andypittcov wrote:Win a few bob?freddydoesdallas wrote: It wouldn't suprise me so if brook comes in I'll put a few quid on the late rounds

Jesus f&*&^%%in christ Zab was 5/1 for the stoppage at Vic Chandler, was going to bet, why o why o why????
This was one of those clear bet fights where someone put their fighter in too deep and the bookies got confused. so gutted. It was in BROOKLYN too!!!!

Re: Betting thread
Made me sick as well. Especially as I had watched his fight against Tim Coleman to gauge whether I should bet on Holt to beat Coleman
He got sropped and was very easy to hit. I also heard he got his ass kicked by a 234 year old Emmanul Augustus and that he went life and death with Courtney Burton. Plus diddy in the general was disgusted at Zab being the underdog. I wanted to get on late but my bank had stopped my card because I had taken out £4000 to bet on Wach outright(bookies fcuked up the timing on that one)

Re: Betting thread
I spotted it early and posted it over on the current scene, never thought of posting it here. Had him large at 6/5 and put a ton on the stoppage on 9/2. Bookies were way off on this one.Riddick Blowe wrote:Jesus f&*&^%%in christ Zab was 5/1 for the stoppage at Vic Chandler, was going to bet, why o why o why????

Re: Betting thread
Thing is I knew how average Paris is but for some reason I was convinced there was a big chance old Zab would be in payday mode without any hunger and thought the hunger of Paris might get him through.
Obviously didn't bother watching any of the buildup to the fight either.

Re: Betting thread
I had my doubts aswell and hadn't seen a lot of Paris so decided to ask the Yanks over on current scene what he was like and they all thought Paris was way out of his depth. Judah looked fantastic last night, but he always does in the fight before the fight.Riddick Blowe wrote:Thing is I knew how average Paris is but for some reason I was convinced there was a big chance old Zab would be in payday mode without any hunger and thought the hunger of Paris might get him through.

Re: Betting thread
i need to stop being a pussy. Thing is I've been stung so much (mostly by Khan) that I hardly bet at all on boxing any more. Congrats on the win.
Re: Betting thread
You and me both, mate. Backed Martinez and Katsidis to beat him and backed him to stop Evensen.Livingstone Cole wrote:I lost loadsa money on Ricky Burns.Riddick Blowe wrote:i need to stop being a pussy. He keeps winning when he shouldn't, and stopping hard Africans when he should win on points. Tosser.

Re: Betting thread
I saw that but stayed off that bet also. Imagine how I felt after having a fiver on mcphilbin Ro d 1 and a fiver round 2. Mind you that's boxing and betting; and I've gladly taken a win when my fighter didn't deserve it...Riddick Blowe wrote:Jesus f&*&^%%in christ Zab was 5/1 for the stoppage at Vic Chandler, was going to bet, why o why o why????

Anyone got odds for Fury to stop Rogan yet? Inside 3 looks a cert.

No. Fury isn't a puncher and Rogan will still have heart and a chin. If Rogie does get stopped it'll be an accumulation.

Re: Betting thread
Odds won't be great on a fury stoppage but it is a certainty.
Re: Betting thread
Can't find any odds anywhere for Brian rose's British title defence on Saturday
Re: Betting thread
Give it another day or two mate and something should pop up. If you don't see anything by Friday, get on to one of the bookies and they will offer you some odds. Boylesports and PaddyPower are usually good for it.Adam1991 wrote:Can't find any odds anywhere for Brian rose's British title defence on Saturday
Re: Betting thread
Newcastle are 21/10 to beat Liverpool in St. James Park. I don't know how the bookies have Liverpool as favourites, they are shite at the moment and Newcastle are consistently playing decent football.

They'll fall apart without Coloccini, you think James Perch will cope with any combination of Suarez, Bellamy and Carroll?Deno1986 wrote:Newcastle are 21/10 to beat Liverpool in St. James Park. On another note, I had a double on Rigondeaux to win last month, and Floyd to beat Pacquiao. How long will I have to wait till the 2nd part of my bet is voided and I can get my hands on my money? Coz that fight ain't happening any time soon!
