Fury is 34 and took on Chisora.
He was just one of a sting of losses for Chisora at the time. If Chisora actually had a peak it was perhaps a couple of years prior to losing to Helenius.
Who? AJ? I wasn’t aware he was a promoter.jwfg wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 17:47He's not the only promoter on DAZN, Michael.mickey1975 wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 17:35Dazn must be regretting their worldwide exclusive with him...Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 17:33 Apparently Dan Rafiel saying the card will still go ahead but wont be PPV, so it won't be anyone special agaisnt AJ I'm guessing.![]()
Oh, so you AJ bashing again, now there's a surprise. You think DAZN are regretting broadcasting the third best heavyweight in the world? More biased nonsense from you.mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 03:27Who? AJ? I wasn’t aware he was a promoter.
I don't think they will be happy how it's turned out, hence the restructuring of the deal. Do you think they'll have been happy with losing the Usyk fight to Sky, getting Franklin and then Helenius on normal subscription?jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 04:43Oh, so you AJ bashing again, now there's a surprise. well its a bit like the weather - beyond anyones control so they will have to readjust and make the best of it for now - but keep everyone sweet for the saudi mega bonanza that has been dangled - if that ever actually materialises with proper boxers .mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:13I don't think they will be happy how it's turned out, hence the restructuring of the deal. Helenius is a 5 day substitute, no one with a brain could be unhappy with that.mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:13I don't think they will be happy how it's turned out, hence the restructuring of the deal. If history tells us anything, it's that a short notice substitute is dangerous, no matter how many losses they've had. Remember when Bert Cooper gave Holyfield hell at late notice. This is the same Cooper who lost in two rounds to an up-and-coming Bowe and quit on his stool after two against Foreman.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:45 Looking forward to hearing Hearn trying to talk up Helenius.
There are exceptions to every rule but the vast majority of short notice substitutes get beaten badly.jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:50If history tells us anything, it's that a short notice substitute is dangerous, no matter how many losses they've had. I'm not denying that, I'm saying that late subs can cause an unexpected upset. Ruiz already proved that.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:53There are exceptions to every rule but the vast majority of short notice substitutes get beaten badly.jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:50If history tells us anything, it's that a short notice substitute is dangerous, no matter how many losses they've had. I'm not denying it happens occasionally either but coming in at short notice means you come in underprepared and that's why most late replacements get creamed.jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 06:07I'm not denying that, I'm saying that late subs can cause an unexpected upset. So they will be happy their deal with AJ has gone great so far?jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:25Helenius is a 5 day substitute, no one with a brain could be unhappy with that.mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:13I don't think they will be happy how it's turned out, hence the restructuring of the deal. The Usyk deal was already done.
Franklin was a rebuild fight, which is a bit like Sefer Seferi. Remember him?
Apart from Whyte's failed drug test and its consequences, yes. I've got a question for you, which you've ignored in the right thread. Why do you think Fury insisted on a rematch clause against a 36 year old debutant, but refused to accept one against the WBA, IBF, WBO and Ring magazine champion?mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 06:10So they will be happy their deal with AJ has gone great so far?jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:25Helenius is a 5 day substitute, no one with a brain could be unhappy with that.mickey1975 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 05:13

Stop trying to make every thread about Tyson, you're obsessed with the guy. I think we will have to disagree the DAZN deal has gone well. No problem.jwfg wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 06:20Apart from Whyte's failed drug test and its consequences, yes. I've got a question for you, which you've ignored in the right thread. Still not answering a simple question about Luke, your drug cheating idol. Plus, I've asked you that question in the relevant thread.
