Nobody can predict the future, but... a lot of people will look silly if Fury at some point does fight Usyk and beat him for all the marbles. I imagine after Ngannou, if indeed that happens, Fury will face a mandatory and then it'll be Usyk. It's frustrating and annoying, yes, but I don't jump ship just because a lot of people dupe themselves into believing he's afraid of Usyk.

I'm not saying the man should not be criticized.

But just because the fight is not happening at this moment or in the near future does not equate to him being afraid or that Usyk is automatically "the man" of the division.

If anything the top 5 heavyweights: Fury, Usyk, Joshua, Wilder and Ruiz are all acting like prima dona's outpricing themselves or dragging their feet because they either ain't ready or they're waiting for Saudi money or some easy payday at low risk.

Prior to the fallout of undisputed negotiations most on this forum were picking Fury to win. Now it's magically turned around when there is no guarantee that Usyk will even get passed Dubois or Hrgovic, when either one of those guys would most likely lose to Fury.

It's one thing outboxing a gun shy, mentally scarred, muscle bound guy who had already previously lost to somebody he should've never lost to. It's another facing young, strong, huge, hungry guys with zero respect for little guys standing in their way of big paydays.

Yeah, Furys kids in there mansions, posh cars and luxurious lives, saying Dad! Why didn't you fight that little Ukranian?
I'd prefer to be living in a caravan, tarmacing all day than have a coward for a father.

Fury's kids won't have any value of money. Tyson has earned fabulously - and one credit you have to give Fury is that he doesn't appear overly extravagant in his spending: a very nice house .. but not exactly a mansion; a few decent cars .. but nothing silly like a Brabus G wagon money, and even his wardrobe appears knock off from TK Maxx or tat with his Gypsy King logo printed.

As many children of rich and famous parents do, Furys kids will very likely gravitate towards social media to make their name - their father's reputation will be very important because basically that will be their 'qualifications'.

What is a mansion? “A large, impressive house” according to the dictionary. I haven’t been there but £1.7m plus renovations Morecambe would certainly get you that. Most tv footage is of his old house.

You're getting upset over a Shakin Stevens video? :maybe:
I had a rare night out to a local bar with some friends on Saturday. One, whom I hadn't seen for over 10+ years, was over from Sweden. I'm really sorry this upset you Mick and didn't fit in with how every other poster should lead their lives to keep you happy.

Great post Henry. The idiots that abuse Fury daily, refuse to comment on AJ avoiding Wilder for 7 years and bottling the Fury fight twice in the past 9 months.

Great thing is - Team Fury have full control of the event in September, very likely 150+ countries will show this fight (Nice profit) :D :D

Looking forward to the next 5 months.
Free money for the Fury team, but will he get as much from this exhibition (against someone that won't be able to defend himself)as he would against someone that has a legitimate chance of beating him, in Saudi?

I saw Fury's uncle, Peter, saying that uncompetitive match ups are a form of bullying. And I agree with him. I don't know how Tyson squares taking on Chisora and Ngannou with his mental heath campaign. The two things seem at odds with one another.

I guess there is a trade off for Fury: extra jam( free money) vs the reputational hit.

I genuinely think it is a shame. At some point his children will be adults and they are going to think: " Did Dad bottle it against Uysk?"

My point being that Fury comes from a proud fighting family and sells himself as being the best ever and will fight anyone for free etc, but even Fury's closest family members must be questioning whether he has the nerve to take on the best. And it needn't be that way. He just needs to box his main rivals. It's quite a simple solution.

When I watch the 12th round of the first Wilder vs Fury fight, I'm reminded of why I enjoyed watching Fury.

But, seeing the bravery and composure on display makes me sad that he has now gone down this weird route of picking on lesser opponents, pricing himself out of meaningful fights and belittling people (see his comments to Uysk).

Can anyone imagine in tennis, Novak saying he won't take on Federer or Nadal because they haven't got the same profile as him, pricing himself out of match ups against them and then taking on a badminton or squash champion instead? It's really weird ( in a Big Doofus kinda way)

Are you trolling? Wlad was the best, without question. Usyk isn’t. They’re just facts. Do you really think this is troubling his family? I’ve seen a similar situation unfold at a lower level. Nobody cares. A few on twitter, but they’ll move on to the next trendy thing to be outraged about and a minuscule amount of hardcore fans. How many give Benn and Eubank stick for not fighting the top boys? If anything, their reputations have grown.
