Pereira then began to mount him and the ref jumped in to stop it. Some might think it was a bit premature but Prochazka did not contest the stoppage.

Prochazka won the first round pressing and backing Pereira up and the second was quite even before the stoppage with Prochazka doing pretty much what he did in the first backing Pereira up.

I said Prochazka's chin was a bit iffy and the first solid shot Pereira landed basically led to the end of the fight.
Pereira is so methodical. He can definitely be outworked.
It might have been a quick stoppage but I doubt that letting it go longer changes the result.

Aspinall was sensational, he was in there against an absolute monster, to take him out like that was so impressive.

UFC is kicking boxings arse right now. What a sport it is, what a package, a fight fans dream. Up until around 2014 i refused to entertain MMA, all my life i was a boxing purist, no way was i going to watch two guys rolling around on the floor with their nuts in each others faces. Thank fcuk McGregor burst onto the MMA scene and made so many headlines it somehow got my attention onto MMA, and I've never looked back since. The UFC is the sport that just keeps on giving. I cannot wait for UFC 296, Garry vs Luque, Pimblett vs Ferguson, Covington vs Edwards, what a card. Between now and Christmas there is hardly a boxing fight that really interests me, if i had to name one it would be the Taylor vs Cameron rematch, but i dont see it going much different to the first fight so i'm not exactly buzzing for it. Quite sad really. Boxing is a mess right now.

The main difference between the UFC and Boxing, other than corruption and too many damn belts and divisions in boxing, is the UFC gives us the fights we want to see because there is no promoter to prevent the matchups.

Prochazka has an iffy chin. If Pereira lands clean first he will knock him out imo. Having said that it only applies if the arrogant version of Pereira in the second Adesanya fight doesn't show up again, otherwise Prochazka will win.
Good call on Alex. And Kilburn on Aspinall. :TU:
On boxing vs UFC. You heard Stevenson's title defense last night was "boring"? We're used to sitting through those fights for the good ones, but what about the casuals? For them it must be like going to a casino only to swiftly lose all your money. If you did that, which I have, you'd say well that wasn't fun at all.

Ribas with a furious comeback for the win, that spinning kick at the end was a thing of beauty,

Orolbai was way too much exposed against Medic but displayed impressive grappling skills in the debut.

Craig is poor, a one trick pony. He should think carefully about his future as i can see him getting seriously hurt, repeatedly. He is sure to slide down the cards too as nobody wants to watch a guy pulling gaurd all night long.

Emmett served a perfect overhand on Mitchell, scary KO

Despite looking in his best shape ever, Paddy managed to gass out in the third and get his chin exposed to a slow Ferguson... fought smart, not a PPV-caliber bout but whatever

Miserable night for Thompson.

Rakhmonov keeps that impressive record going. He’s not pretty to watch but gets it done.

Boy, did Colby look off tonight... Leon fought himself and even afforded to try something unusual and succeeded.

Belan and Shavkat deserved this way more.

The decline of Ferguson has probably been the hardest of any fighter to watch. Had no problem with him training with Goggins, but he just got in the way in his corner and shouldnt have been there.

Pimblette is a horrible little gobshite. If Tony does retire its a shame he finished with that little turd.

Totally missed this card but read that Colby was his usual douchebag self and brought up Edwards' dead father. What a POS. He has had 3 shots at the UFC title and failed badly in each one. Please don't reward him anymore.

The lesson to be learned from Tony, don't take every fight, and don't make weight for fights that get canceled, and don't kill yourself in every training. If he was half as calculated as he is tough....he would have remained unbeatable for a bit longer.

Bautista vs. Simon was fun and fast-paced, the former throwing punches in bunches to ensure a spot in the top 15

Jim Miller's dream of making it also to UFC 300 is now reality
