If they met, Murray would do very well to get past six rounds, because of Khan's speed, but if he did, he would have a chance of catching up with Khan later on.

To me, it's 50/50. If Murray can hang in there, because Khan would hit him a lot, and take it past seven or eight, then it could be Murray's fight to win. Although, what I have seen, Khan would be a nightmare for Murray, but with that chin, who knows?

Murray is one of my favourite fighters, but I wish he wouldn't let himself get hit so much! He marked up quite badly against Lawton who isn't really known as a big puncher. But I think Murray's positive attributes far outweigh his negative. And don't forget he is only 24!!!

Maybe we'll get an answer to this thread after all.

Murray can fight under pressure, and round by round wear his opponent down. He has a strategy that he sticks to, can ride the storm if he has to, and time and time again it works for him. Khan doesnt think like Murray and cant take the pressure like Murray can. If things get difficult Khan gets ragged throwing wild punches and forgets his defense and Murray would take full advantage of that and nail him. Murray would probably lose the first two rounds, I would expect that, with Khan being a fast starter, but then Murray would get stuck in. My only problem with Murray is his lack of head movement but he can take a punch. Murray wins because A. he is tougher. B. He will stick to the job no matter how the fight goes. And C. He has a point to prove in the biggest fight of his career and will raise his game accordingly. Khan loses because A. He cant take decent head or body punches. B. He couldnt tough it out, and loses his way when he isnt on top. And C. This would be a British level fight which Khan has so far avoided (or his promoter has) and IMO Khan is not the best in Britain. Khan is very fast but I dont think his punches are that devastating and I am sure John Murray would cope. Cant really see FW allowing this with no title for Khan to win and every chance of Khan losing in a local Derby at British level. Love to see it though, far, far more than Khan/Kotelnik.
