Ouch! Sounds nasty. How did SKY score it? Looks like Fury has a second life on ITV after all.

The fight was close - which makes the 98-92 score card hard. McDermmott won rounds big, all of Tyson's rounds (on my card) were close.
so you could make a case for tyson or not? Is this post close fight over reaction. I know Boxrec fans r knowledgable but "robbery" is the most over used phrase in boxing nowadays.

Mcdermott sounds like he might pack it in, sounds very jaded.

Hennessy will take him back down a level for a while now.
Do you mean Fury and Henessy, or McDermott and Malone?

Quite so (you mean Fury has been exposed, right?).

Fury -- like so many vast dreadnought heavies -- can't punch his weight. If you're reasonably determined & make him work for three hard rounds, you've got him. He'll never get past Euro level (& that's at the outside, if they can match him soft enough; his size will beat lesser fighters but mighty fistic titans like John McDermott will always feck him).

I thought Tyson came across ok in the interview. He said he worked harder (which is probably true) so deserved to win (not true). It wouldn't be smart to say he believed he lost immediately after the fight.
He repeatedly said he would come back to Brentwood for a rematch so i think reading between the lines he knows what's what and wants to do it again and get a deserved victory.

Patially agree. He is just a baby, he will learn from this. He did show some good things, his man strength is about 3 years away. Thats going to help him also.

Needs to nuckle down. Had no focus early on.... John forced him to focus... and his stamina was pretty poor - showed an excellent chin.

Pryce WILL BEAT HIM... and British boxings is getting more & more 'protected, guarded and corrupt here as we go along, and the irony is the ones they are protecting ARE NOT THE BEST CHOICE FOR WORLD HONOURS.

just give us the best in the land fighting each other and the TRUE winners going on to represent.

How hard can it be???

Yeah of course Fury has been exposed and will be very lucky to win a Brit title, Hennessy will take Fury down a level now. McDermott ain't great, isn't a puncher and didn't do anything special tonight, but still proved too much for Fury.

Fury saying he won and would knock McDermott out next time, the only thing he knocks out are punchbags.

He's going no where domestically, let alone world class.

Fury has only had 8 fights, should he really be written off for struggling against a decent, experienced fighter like McDermott?

It is that bad as it happens. Fury only won 2 rounds on my card. If anyone had that fight close then you have no idea how to score a fight. :TU:

Its the biggest robbery i have seen so far in boxing.

And i'm a danny williams fan, i thought williams won the 2nd fight, and drew the 1st.

Mcdermott deserves his dues.

with total respect, quite a few people r saying they could accept a draw, cant be THAT much of a robbery surely?

It will be interesting if this reality check will persuade Hennessey to find Fury a more established trainer. He's still got potential but he'll need to be brought along very slowly. English/British/Commonwealth challenges could take a few years and give him time before he tries to move up to Euro class

On that performance the George Foreman of today would beat Fury. I hope this stops some of the silly hype, and get Fury to knuckle down, and do his apprentiship properly. He is only young and shouldn't come back up to this level for at least another year.

You didn't watch it, so why are you trying to have a say on whether it was a robbery or not?
