Saw him make his professional debut at the university he had been attending.

No - Tony Bellew is Bomber1. Ian "mr" McNeilly is a respected boxing writer and not the type to spread "sick pranks". :cry:

Someone high profile in the game and entirely reliable told me a little while ago he actually spoke to Frank Maloney who confirmed it was true.

I'd love - sincerely - to have been had over on this one. But if I have, it's a bizarre one.
