he knows his way around a ring alright.

solid from cleverly.

european class for me.

not convinced about top 5 in the world sorta level though.
Depends whether Cleverly has the ability to continue to improve - he's shown improvements in punching power and defence already, I think he can continue to add to his game to make himself harder to beat. His body punching I think is the weapon he needs to use more, as this will be a big element in his arsenal as he steps up in class.

One or two more testing fights, then a european title shot I think.

Nice easy money on a Friday night. Decided to have a big bet on Cleverly here tonight. Didn't get the best odds as I put it on in the morning, thinking the odds wouldn't be that good. Still, it's easy money in my pockets. Going to make a speedy withdrawal of the winnings immediately after the fight. Easy easy money lads. lol at the mugs who work hard long hours for that type of money :OhYes:

Tomorrow I'll probably have 5k on Juan Manuel Lopez for yet another easy few quid.

Not bad for a student!

I know..
And yet you couldn't find the 500 quid you owed a lad on here. Shameful.
Exactly. Even if it wasn't him (which it appears to be) he is obnoxious.

That is the funniest thing I have heard in a while, Cloud would destroy, absolutely destroy Cleverly at this stage within 2-5rnds. Get your head out of Cleverlys arse because he is no where near real world-class yet.

Clev has not proved himself against world class opponents. Cloud is stronger and faster than anyone he has ever faced. It is one thing to fight a legit world class fighter and another to fight Courtany Fry and Billy Boyle. People give way to much credit for domestic victories, its easy to look good against the likes of that. When Cleverly has beaten a top 20 fighter with just as much ease I will be more convinced. Right now he is fighting a couple levels below world class. I would pick Cloud to beat Cleverly

he was allowed to look good against the weak african challengers and a wide open cocky mcintosh. he can make a decent living on the domestic, maybe european scenes, and there's nothing wrong with that. probably he'l get his compulsory WBO title fight, but in all honesty i don't think he's going to be any better than the thomas ulriches, the jurgen brahmers of the world. he seems a fit, focused pro, but i think many of his fights flatter him and he seems somewhat stiff and underpowered.

he might be a good fighter, but there is nothing exceptional about him, it's not even a great time to be a welsh fighter - and isn't he getting opportnities mainly because he left the calzaghe camp? - during the Great Rift?

doesn't exactly make you want to stay in on a friday night when he fights, does it? is he any kind of draw at all, is there ever any kind of buzz where he fights?
