As far as homosexuals are concerned, as long as they dont make it too public, what they do behind closed doors is their business.
x2 same should go for religion as well.

The main problem, as I see it, is that the BNP are similar to psychics and other con people, they prey on the vulnerable and disenfranchised and know how to push the right buttons to get what they want. Immigration is the main one. People talk about Poles and others nicking our jobs but in experience they do the menial type jobs that Brits refuse to do, or the building jobs that the Brits have screwed for themselves by shoddy work and poor timekeeping.

When I worked for the Job Centre we had lots of immigrants phoning looking for work. Some of them would be well-qualified but they would take shitty jobs in order to be out there working and earning. Then you had the Brits, mostly white working class youths who left school early with no qualifications and who refused to do menial work and wanted something more. "I'm not F-ing doing that poop!" was their mantra. You've seen the types, in bed until 4pm and talk like they live in Spanish Harlem.

This is anecdotal evidence but at least it is not falsified by the pollsters and corrupted by interpretation. On at least two occasions I saw dads bring their sons in and explain to them the score for signing on under the proviso that, "You'll be doing this yourself soon." So, in my opinion, the Brits are not having jobs stolen from them, we have produced a generation that is incapable of working and are paying the price. My girlfriend and I are seen as the odd couple in our area as we both work and do not have any substance issues. In this sense we have more in common with the Muslims/Poles living near us than our fellow Brits.

So you have these F-ing useless people sat at home without work, without money and looking for someone to blame, so they blame the people who come in and do the poop jobs that Brits used to do, back when we had a work ethic. Parties like the BNP help people avoid the truth, on many levels, as they provide a demonic other to pin the blame on. I'm not saying that there are not problems, but the Brits have created a lot of them by producing a generation of complete fags who won't stand up to be counted.

The other problem is that liberal PC values have, ironically, produced a climate of complete absolutism in which complex views cannot be accommodated. Remember people who used to use racist words but would work/live side-by-side with people of colour and differing creeds, I do, but they've disappeared and all that tension, once let out by banter, is now buried deep and simmering, to the extent that we no longer know one another any more.

I work with racist people. They would correct you if you used certain slang terms but if a travelling family moved in nearby by, or, god help them, a family of blacks they would worry how this would impact on their suburban bliss, and house prices.Or, they would cross the street if they saw a group of black youths. These people are not used to dealing with other cultures so, say, they have to deal with a black person they will talk like the Lilt man, trying to ape an accent in order to be understood by the black person, this is crude in my eyes, and I see this a lot. People no longer realise that, beneath the accents and whatnot, we are all quite similar.

These people are fundamentally racist, but they hide this behind ultra-PC values, it is a reversal of fascism in many ways. Look at the protesters last night. Faces contorted in rage, the threat of violence, intolerance of free speech and other world views, these people are worse than the BNP as they pretend to be so much better when they really are not. They actually strengthen the position of the BNP.

Letting Griffin speak was a sound idea, as he is a tit. Unfortunately, he was picked on and bullied by the panel and, crucially, the supposedly impartial host, no one likes a bully, so people, normal people, will support him on last night's evidence. The whole charade was a home goal.

The BNP are idiots, led by middle-class cretins who are themselves out-of-touch with the problems we face, they just edge their bets and cater to what people fear, rather than what they need. If the idiotic protesters, living out their fantasies of being able to change the world, come to their senses they would realise that the best way to overcome the BNP is for people of differing creeds and colour to join the party. Attend their meetings, block their agendas and show them how ridiculous it is to have a racially closed party in the current world.

Failing that, join me in acknowledging that politics and history is a charade, neither truly exist. We are locked in a holding pattern and are about to lurch back into 1979, so sit out the bad days and wait for the good ones to roll around again, then make some hay.
Mate I cross the street if I see a group of black youths, or a group of white youths for that matter - with good reason, they all carry knives and shooters round where I live, and have three pitbulls with them.

And no, I ain't exaggerating.
I live in that type of area also, but I don't cross as I don't basically give a poop. I leave things in the hands of destiny. Point was these people would happily walk across a group of white townies, who always cause scraps in my experience, and would not walk past some black lads.

As for gay men kissing in public. I was in the gay village once, been there a few times and only time I transgressed was when dancing with a transexual, she was hot, and I saw two men banging away in a cubicle, they didn't ask me to join in so I just closed the door and went for a waz. Gay men kissing in public is Ok by me as long as they don't try to rape me, you know how fickle and over-sexed these gay guys are.

Disagree, I once saw two nuns kissing in the street and it kind of gave me the horn, I say come one come all.
I left it in the hands of destiny on one occasion, and got the crap kicked out of me by three sixteen year olds, most humiliating experience.

I watched Question Time & perhaps you are right in that Jack Straw "got Griffin good", but that's exactly why last night's show was a farce. All of the panel were woefully inadequate. They, along with most of the audiance, just tried to bully Griffin, which, however you look at it, is & should be not what the show is about!

Even the host, David Dimbleby could & should have been more firmer with the audiance. Everytime someone else duisagreed with Nick Griffin they exagerrated by clapping & cherring too much! Dimbleby should have said cut it out.

Its so easy to say its a disgrace Griffin was even on the show, so easy to blame the BBC for allowing him on the show, etc. However, the fact is, people, the public, the voters, have indeed voted for the BNP, & those votes, IMO, merit his place on the show last night. That's one thing people in general forget, the public have voted for Griffin, so if anyone is to blame, its the voters. But, its a democracy & those who have voted BNP have the freedom to do so!

Nick Griffin has made a statement today, whereby he has challenged Jack Straw to be interviewed one-on-one basis! No panel, just Straw, Griffin & an interviewer. I can't see Straw taking up the challenge to be honest. Straw tried to bully Griffin last night & it half backfired on him because David Dimbleby became, at one point, firm with Straw, telling him to either answer the question or don't!

Now we come the homosexuality topic. Mr Griffin made a very valid point when he said young children should not be taight about any type of sex & he is right. If anyone differs from this view, then please tell me why? I strongly agree with Griffin on this.

Lastly, immigration. No one can deny that immigration has gone too far, has got way out of hand & that the current goverment have loast all control over it.

Sorry toneyvs - very passionate about it. What point/s don't you understand. I will try to make it clearer.

1) I think the dumbing down of degrees has made people go to University which has left less school leavers and less people contiplating the more manual jobs. Yes, I am part of the system and therefore guilty also. I'll hold my hands up and say this. I was brought up by a working class (building family) and was always told in my teens - now "you don't want to do this hard work, you get a degree and get a good job".... sadly, and I meant this with the greatest respect, people now who wouldn't have been put forward 15 years ago for further education are getting degrees - meaning more competition for the non-manual jobs, more gaps in the market for the low paid jobs (with people not wishing to do this).

My views on foreign workers is quite simple.... we should embrace it, appreciate it and respect their bravery. However, if it wasn't for the dumbing down of the education system. Then I don't think there would be as many here. In years gone by, people less suited for academia would be told at an early age and they would pick up a trade. Now its very much different.

2) However, even those that do leave school early, many building companies are complaining that the Young British people cannot hack the work.

For me thats a huge point of the economic problems of this country.

I would like to know which points you thought was hypocritical.
Basically, how you seemed to slate youngsters nowaday not wanting to do manual work - yet admit to not wanting to do it yourself.
You then kinda lost me in the latter parts, which to me - didn`t seem to have any relevance to the previous points.

My parents taught me about sex from a very young age, to understand it fully. Why leave it to the shitty job the schools do far too late.
Sex education of all sorts should be increased not hidden away until children are older like if we don't mention it then they won't find out
I'm 28, have no children and not contracted any STDs. I don't know why shielding natural things from children is a good thing?

As far as the other arguments, the usual group of Carbo, Terry, Datsue, James and co have already said what I would like to far more eloquently

Children need to be taught about sex and it's dangers, sex education when I were at school lasted about 12 weeks for about an hour each lesson when I were 14, pathetic really isn't it?

Social education was what the class name was called and schools should have more of these lessons to give kids a proper education on Sex, Drugs and Alcohol.

I wrote to the Schools Minister when I learned my girls will begin their voyage of sex education aged 5-6. Of course, it is all about acceptable physical contact, friendship, social relationships etc they say. But it struck me as abhorrent to contemplate my children having to consider these things as an abstract subject you learn, surely that isn't the way to learn nor is the topic one which should trouble the minds of children aged 5-6-7-8 or 9-10 for that matter. I realise, in the world of net, mobiles etc that children need to be more savvy than one might have been as a child but really.....do my children need this because some parents cannot care for their children properly?

I went very right wing for the day.

But to me, we're treating symptoms not problems here.

Accidents happen to even the most well-intentioned, but on the whole teenage pregnancy, or perhaps the casual sex which preceeds it (I think thats how it happens) is a statement in the way a failed suicide bid is, different scale, different problems but to me symptoms of similar issues, both personal and social. A cry for attention, for love, for respect, for understanding, to fit in, to ascend to a pier group, social standing or adulthood.

And on the whole its due to, in my narrow-minded 1950's utopian world, a breakdown in family structure, accepted roles for adults in that family.

I'm back to my two parents working scenario again.
But th epoint I wanted to make Lenny is, I disagree with you. I'm 36 with no unplanned children, no STD's so you rpove nothing with that statement.

he will always get more votes than he gets overt support, because its not politically correct to support someone who wants the countries 'way in' gates closed.

he commented on the fact that you only have to see what is happening in small towns and villages all over britain to see what harm immigration is doing, i can be outside asda in boston in lincs, and near the cashpoint, and i cant hear an english voice..all eastern european.

he commented on the fact that homosexuality is something that should be done in the privacy of your own home and not be on open public display in the street, kissing and holding hands etc.

call me a racist pig or a homophobe but i agree with the 2 comments, and im brave enough to say it.

in public people will agree but only in their heads, in the secrecy of an election ballot, if the current government do not sort things out quick, then more and more people will vote BNP.

When Griffin answered the question, he said Primary school children should not be taught about any kind of sex, not just homosexuality. Given that he said primary school children, that means children up to aged eleven, which is a child.

For crying out loud, children aged up to eleven are exactly that, CHILDREN! Let them have their childhood, its only a short period in their life. Once its gone, its gone!

On another note, I forgot ot mention this is my first reply to this topic. Griffin was asked about the religion of Islam. His answer included that women are treated as second class citicizens, that if they are a victim of rape, they are blamed for that. IF this is true, then I have to ask why would anyone follow a religion that has those kinds of things in it? That's not religion at all!

But a small minority of kids are having sex as young as that now. Kind of a retrograde step no?
In that case give all 9 year olds Rita, Sue and Bob too to watch over the weekend and to hell with it.

Griffin & his ilk manipulate things & make gross generalities. He can point to individual examples of wrong-doing & say "This represents Z, therefore we ban Z".

This is a fallacy, a straw man argument, a bit like "Boxers get injured, so we must ban boxing".

Roman Catholicism has a history of "protecting" child-molesting priests. I don't see Griffin or you talking about banning Catholicism.

Oh, & he's down with the "Kinder, kuchen, kirche" thing (of course). If I ever have a daughter, I'm gonna make damn sure she knows she's valued as a human being, rather than objectively valued according to some fantasy of what her gender "should" do.

Griffin should have been allowed on as he represents a political party that has elected officials. That's beyond question.

It was a shame that the panel and audience couldn't resist the hammering they gave him as i think the most damaging result would have to shown how out of his depth he is in the usual political debate. I think the Liberal Democrat Chris Huhne (sp?) came across the best as he made some good points and didn't attack Griffin directly.

I think this attention is positive as the BNP has had to change their constitution now so that non-whites are no longer banned and the more attention Griffin gets the more he twists to avoid admitting what the BNP really stands for and if this continues they re-constitute themselves out of existance.

I believe Griffin is Oxbridge educated and was half expecting him to be smart enough to have a plan to come out looking better. It was obvious what he would be walking into. It surprises me that someone who might have serious deficiencies as a person but must be intelligent thinks he is the best public face for making the BNP mainstream. Maybe he simply is the most likeable, smart and eloquent member of the BNP - which says quite a lot.

Okay, yeah.... can see that point. Without sounding arrogant I worked my arse of to get good GCSE's, good A levels, and good degree (albeit in Psychology) and got a masters. I also (don't want to sound big headed, although I guess it will do) had enough brains to always be considered "university level" in school. I'd had ambitions to go to Uni from the age of 10 - yes to avoid the tough life my old man went through (I did help him out in summers etc).

I know there are many many who did it for the same reason.... there are also many many who, with the greatest will in the world, shouldn't be contimplating academia. I've marked many a first year psychology essay that is just rubbish - but my hands are tied and I am practically forced to pass them!!! seriously.... we get the "bums on seat" lecture from the head of department every year.

I have the uptmost respect to manual labours.... I couldn't hack it, its a very proffesion. Plus, a mate of mine left school at 16 - became an electriction and has a far better bank balance than me - and is surely getting close to £50K a year!!! Even after a PhD - I'll never get that earning.

I don't want to go back to my parents generation when kids were labelled thick at 10 and told "you can't do this" you can only work in a shop, or as a bricky.... and academia and learning should be embraced - but for the aim of 50% of the whole country to go to Uni.... well that will slow down the country. We will end up with no brickies... University is becoming the "easy option" and it shouldn't be. My brother is a few years older than me and back in 1993 it was a massive deal to go to Uni... well now the government was half of the population to do it.
