The mods are a utter joke on this forum, I put a few post on this thread that even Tony seen the lighter side of and replied to, guess what, the over zealous moderator decided to delete them

Macklin v Barker i'd pick Macklin hes on fire at the minute aloow i really love to watch barker he's got a great style would be a close 1
Degale v Groves ???? No Comment haha
Pacman v Mayweather maywather
Haye v Wlad haye
Calzaghe v Froch another very tough 1 to call ,
who do u think mate??
I would say:
Macklin may just have the edge but it would be fight of the year candidate
Groves may just have the edge on Degale just now and I'd pick him
Mayweather will fight on the back foot and pick Pacman off in flurries when he moves in to do enough for a UD
Haye could connect with Wlads chin and stop him
Calzaghe would have, and probably still could, dance around Froch, making him miss repeatedly and look like an amateur. He wouldn't stop him but would win a wide UD.

Nothing to Ask really Tony, as others are already doing so. But I will say congrat's on the Olympics and the best of luck to you in the future. It's brilliant how you've taken the time to come on here and make yourself available like this.
Good on ya mate. 8)

Are you a boxing fan (as well as a boxer)?
if so who are your fave boxers to watch from the UK and abroad?
If you could compare you're boxing style to a fighter of the past who would it be or do you aspire to be like anyone in the ring (other than Tony Jeffries)?
Good luck for the future...... and what a season Andy Reids having
PS If you've got a team in the Fantasy Football Premier league team come and join us

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/
i'm not the biggest boxing fan in the world , i'd prfer to go watch sunderland play haha
my fav current UK boxers are Carl Froch,David Haye and Stephen smith
i dont really compare my style to another fight maybe i should, never even thought of it to tell u the truth, my old amateur coach bobby bute who past away in 2005 said i was like an orthodox version of winky wright when i was young ha ,
yeah funny you should mention Andy reid and fantasy football , cos i was speaking to Reidy on monday night telling him i have him in my dream team haha how do i join u ? message me on twitter mate
Cheers for the answers.....you're not a football fan then either Jaffa?

I'm a Baggie, so I've got no room for talk.
Haye and Froch are my current fav boxers n'all, it's impossible for a sane British Boxing fan not to like them IMO, they're always looking to test themselves against the best out of there.... I hope you and the rest of the new crop of upcoming Brit fighters take there lead
I've not got a team on the Sky website just the Premier Leagues one, again good luck for the future I'll be keeping tabs on ya progress

it was Kenny Egan who beat me in the Olympics , he beat me twice with he's aukward south paw style, i beat a few lads who beat him but he seemed to have the beating of me , plus he's a gentleman too

I must admit, as an Irishman I was rooting for Egan, so it's nice to read you say he's a gentleman. Shame about the scoring in the final for Egan tho', although Paddy Power paid out on Egan getting gold due to that.
Actually, it does raise a question. Did you ever experience any blatant dodgey scoring in the ams?

Hi Tony,
Well done for doing this,
Who's your favourite current Sunderland player? I'm a Southampton fan so kind of have to say Kenweyne Jones, but you have a decent squad nowdays so what's your predictions for the season?
Do you think too many fights get stopped too soon and are you a fan of the tournements like Prizefighter and Super 6?
Thanks and good luck in your career

hi mate ,
my fav player as a player is Lorik Cana the captain , he is quality , strong as a bull ,also Cattermole and Andy reid top players and i know most of the players on the team they are top lads , Bardsley and Benty , the team sunderland have now is the best they have ever had i think
no mate dont think fights get stopped to soon , i think the refs seem t know what they are doing and i suppose better safe than sorry , but i have seen a few what i would of liked to have seen go for longer pal

you know what pal the truth is i dont look past my next fight , i think if u start looking to far ahead you forget about what is in front of you and thats where u make mistakes, hopfully in 12 moths i'll be doing 8 or even 10 rounders , it all depens how fast i learn and adapt i think mate,
i think us Olympians have enough pressure, nd i wouldnt wanna put more on by saying this and that

good out look tony & very true, ive studied fighters like hopkins who gives challengers loads of respect how he prepares & negates his tactics for them, even tho he may not show it
![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
DD
i believe good things come to them who wait, alot of these am lads treat the pro's as a tournament & look straight to the top of the tree & think he looks poop & forget there apprenticeship & risk alot imo.
look at richard hatton been around along while & has good prospects for a area level fighter, which he is.so what can a good fighter do managed right.

jaffa1 wrote:we where talking about the BoxRec Forum and how i have some great support on here and a bit stick too,
Jaffa,
I cannot think of who would give you stick - shame on him!!
Lets not mention the hideous football team you support - clearly you have a screw loose somewhere - where today I am going to a game where I am going to sing the song "we are top of the league, we are top of the league!!!" albeit a lower division - although next season things will get back to normal and we can have a bet on the outcome of the game and you will be handing over a vast quantity of cash to me.
Anyhow questions - if of course you are willing to answer them:
I have in the past questioned your reasoning of changing trainers - you stated you wanted more one on one tuition - do you not like the buzz of a busy gym and the competitive edge that a busy gym brings when other boxers are in training at the same time as yourself?
When do you see yourself boxing for domestic honours?
Has the massive media attention in the North East and the constant attention from fans affected your performance in anyway - or has this settled down now so you can concentrate fully on your training?
I always understood you would box at Light Heavweight - but there are conflicting reports you intend to fight at Super Middleweight - a weight you have yet to achieve in your professional appearances yet - what weight do you feel comfortable at and which division interests you the most?
