For the very last time - if you do not like what I write - shove it up your ar*e - if the moderators or the owner does not like what I write they can ban me.
Back to the thread ...
Forget your lectures - shove them up your arse - I have got a reaction both on this forum and on my phone because I am right for a change - if any other promoter especially W*rren or Fight Academy had announced a show and started to sell tickets without a single clue of the undercard there would be f*cking uproar on here - simple FACT.

My unbiaised opinion because I do not know the guy at all.
Passionate, obviously knows a bit about the sport, has seemingly been around a lot of prominent boxing types over the years, and a big plus is that he is a black and white.
However, his banal 'I am in the know' type posts are very irritating, arrogant and he should calm down a bit.
Spud - how many sugars did you used to put in Maloney/Hobson's tea???

Forum,
With regards to the comments - it is so many other posters - not me - that are so wrapped up in my posts - not arrogance - just a simple FACT - so many people tripping over themselves to see who can come out with the most scathing or the most funny post against "Spud" - I am bored of it as are so many other posters - get on with the thread in hand.
I do have to say the most funny ones are the ones about me emptying the bins and making tea for the promoters - I will state it again - Jealousy - the vast majority of you would give your right hands to have got up to what I have within the sport - and just a little point for you all - it has been achieved by solid hard graft and bare face cheek - maybe I should start a thread about some of those antics - f*ck me best not it would send "Eric Guy" nuts as he has done more than me!!!
Back to the thread ....
Twenty Six,
7,000 tickets gone since the tickets on sale - you say that is a good move in the right direction - I say no it is not when you want to sell 23,000 of them.
I pick up on the point entirely concerning so many people go to watch the fight they want and do not give a toss about the rest as they stay in the bar - I completely agree to a point - it is no secret when a promoter has a major ticket seller on the undercard he normally trys to have that fight immediately before or after the main event.
I am telling you right now - whilst some of the undercard is going to have some decent fights on - is the Chief Support a major ticket seller? - I would argue to the contrary.

Just enjoy the fact that the Heavyweight champ is fighting in Britain rather than banging on about stuff which quite frankly is irrelevant.
Dear me.....

I don't think it's that unusual to just announce one fight. I have known several times for an undercard fight to be announced before the main event.
After all, what publicity is the undercard going to get on the same press conference as Haye v Ruiz? Say, for instance, Ryan Rhodes is the chief support, how much coverage would he have got last Tuesday? By announcing the undercard later, there is the chance to get an extra hit in the media.

Dont know if this has been mentioned above, but in the program for the Brentwood show the other week it said Groves and McGuire were the only fighters Hayemaker actually kept on.

Out of all the comments you have just gone in at No1 with that one!!!
Made something of it .... Ummmmmm
Started off as merely driving Julius Francis car up to Manchester for the Mike Tyson show, then a driver to Frank Maloney - to assisting behind the scenes on 2 shows in Monte Carlo, 2 shows in Las Vegas and numerous European and world title shows in the UK - f*ck me you have clearly pointed out that I have failed!!!
And as for a job in boxing on a full time basis - a while back it was an absolute dream - but there is not a f*cking chance I would take it now even if it were offered on a plate - there is absolutely no stabability and as for the sniping - if you think this forum is bad - boxing and working behind the scenes is far worse - certain people would sell their grannies to get on.

good for you spud

but i'm not saying you havent worked on shows (god you've told us that enough times). But its the point is, you had a way in to your dream job and werent good enough to rise to the top or remain in the sport. In most jobs you come across people who would sell their grannies to get ahead but its a small few who rise to the top. Its doesnt take anyone special to drive a car, hold a spit bucket or hand out passes but then if if that's your idea of being successful then i'm happy for you. Basically if you were any good at what you did you would still do it and be further up the food chain.

80% of those who brought tickets couldnt give a fuk about the undercard and will be in the bar until the main event. Yes real boxing fans will sit through the undercard but we make up no more than 15% of the ticket buying public.
Absolutely spot on

I am one of the boxing fans who watch all the fights, sometimes at 6:45 I'm sitting with what appears to be another 20-30 people and it's worse if there are any floating bouts at a tv show on after the main event. I'm there with the boxers family, friends and the Sky crew while everyone else is off to the pub.
Also, why is it that more and more threads end up being about Spud, what he has and hasn't done in the sport. No disrespect Spud, I don't know you (although now I feel that I do!) and I understand that you are often only defending yourself, but I want to read about boxing and boxers, not posters.

mate , you dont make any sense , from what you wrote im gathering you think haye will lose deliberately as he worships the klits as sacred and wouldnt want to fight someone so almighty .
your either thick or english isnt your main language , we have no reason to criticise you for not being as good as us in the english language , but if your going to criticise haye without reasons given , your just going to make your dumbness a target .
also in a reply to something posted earlier ( cant remeber who it was) .
Whats so bad about us nottingham posters .

Anyone know what the prices are for ringside? Will be expensive, but its a Heavyweight title fight and to be expected.
