cos that sthe way it went on the night....i wouldnt label Carl chinny, the only other guy to stop him is present Euro champ Kirkosyan, and he just iced lawton in 3 and can whack.

anyway the logic of using a stoppage to prove a point of someone not being able to punch to meb is a bit retarded.

Carl had been down plenty in his career and against guys who weren't truly top class too. Sure, Kirakosyan can whack but he isn't muderous by any means.

Not saying Mitchell can't punch, he just isn't as heavy handed as some are insinuating.

Kevin has had massive support since he was a kid. I first watched him when he was about 14/15 and some of the hype that surrounded him was quite intense...he was a very good operator, tough as old boots but some around him were predicting he would become one of the all time greats Britain has ever had, multi-weight world champ etc.
I think he is a quality fighter and like his style and obviously want him to win, but just not sure he has ever been as good as some say he is.
For me he still unproven at the top level and thats why I'm looking forward to him and Katsidis. It will tell us how good he is/can be.

Carl isnt chinny at all,the guy who stopped him is a beast.Carl is very,very strong and has dropped full middleweights in sparring.Fighting the way Mitchell does,he was never going to have anything other than a war with Carl,and he came through it,taking some huge shots on the wayCarl trained like a demon for that fight,too.Something he has not always done

Carl was great that night, but fact is he was still past his best and had taken a few in his career at that point. Was a cracking fight, I was on my feet throughout. For me, it was the highlight of the night.

Also, I can't agree that Kirakosyan is a beast.

Kirakosyan is,when allowed to be.He is ruthless.I am not trying to say he is a world beater,which he obviously isnt,but,given the chance,he will take your head off.I hear things from the gym's in Leed's,and that was a different Carl to the one that stepped in with Kevin.As for been past his best,he had just floored Ricky Burns 3 times on route to a points win and knocked the stuffing out of Eddie Corcoran on another promoters show.Decent wins,believe me,i have it on good authority he can really crack

Mitchell appears to have a good chin and good power, but in both respects Katsidis is more proven.

Going to be a great atmosphere and fight. I favour Katsidis but this is a compelling and closely competitive fight.
