Since then you'd be hard pushed to see anything in the media where one has mentioned the other.

If Froch is guilty of anything, it's not sparing Khan's fragile ego when answering the question of 'where now for Amir' after the Breidis defeat. Froch said it was a long road back, but there was definitely question marks surrounding the jaw section. Then when pressed on his Kotelinik win many moons later, he said he'd not actually seen it, but heard he'd won, but was told it was fairly negative and his mate described it as boring even. That Amir was afraid to engage but a wins a win and Amir needs to do what he needs to do.

Next thing, the poison came out from Khan who said he was jealous, that he lives in a pad in LA with P-diddy as his neighbours. That he can sell more tickets in Nottingham and that he's a star and nobody knows who Froch is. That's he's bitter and a horrible person. Then some 6 months later used it again when declaring he was leaving the UK, to attack John Murray and Froch through the print press. Saying how he came through boxing 'the hard way' despite having a silverspoon up his ass since he signed pro terms. I remember in Hatton's book, when he'd beat Olivera in London, that across town a huge Khan party was being thrown for him and Hatton had not even got an invite or something. That he'd heard he'd signed something like a £100k a fight deal or something before throwing a punch - wheras Hatton was on pennies until the latter stage of that part of his career.

Khan is a prat and the day will come when that leash HAS to be taken off and he's going to get chinned so hard that he'll just turn it in.

A guy with ZERO ko's in Rashid Drilzane made him touch down first, then he got put on queer street by super feather Limmond. An old 5'4 Michael Gomez dropped him with a left hook.... he's going to get absolutely mullered the first true world class opponent he faces. Hell, he's been absolutely and utterly obliterated by a Columbian bin man in less than 60 seconds already.

Everyone will then kick themselves and say 'why the hell did we think that someone who has been exposed so many times at domestic level, would suddenly become a super star' ... the writing is has been on the wall for about 4 years. Now he's ducked a guy in Marcos Maidana (28 wins, 27 kos) to fight Paulie Malignaggi (27-5ko).

The last guy Paulie knocked out was in 2003 and he was a journeyman. Trust me, after him it will be the corpse of Erik Morales wheeled out for a last hurrah at 140lb.

And yet we criticise those who are willing to fight the best, again and again - yet cut this dork a bit slice of respect for what? for providing absolutely bugger all.
Good appraisal on all counts. Froch has the right to feel a bit aggrieved also from all the hype and press Khan has got, whist Carl has been somewhat kept in the dark, though his achievements are superior.

You have to remember, and correct me if I'm wrong, but Carl actually won Britain's first medal ever in the amatur world champs - a competition that most afficionados consider to be tougher than the olympics. (Froch won a bronze, in the same comp David Haye won a silver.)

Carl has fought and beaten far better competition, even when he has struggled. Yes Khan beat Barerra - but this was an old Barerra, a heavy Barerra, and was rather an inconclusive ending.

Khan is still a baby! He's got plenty of time to fight 'suitable' opponents. I can't believe you're comparing the resumes of both fighters at this stage.

Good point. I thought I might be wrong.

I believe Froch was the first Englishman - Kevin was Welsh. So Kevin was the first 'Briton' and FRoch the first Englishman.

S-middle division certainly is not the toughest division. The super6 has pretty much proved that beyond doubt.

I doubt many would argue if I said the 140lb division has the most tallent in todays game.

For all his faults - Froch has the fans utmost respect. :TU:
And this is why Khan cannot help himself from making silly remarks. Khan is jealous of the respect Froch has .. something he knows he will probably never recieve.

It's not a good appraisal, it's biased shite. Against Drilzane, he slipped a punch and tripped over the bottom rope, for crying out loud. None of the judges even scored it a 10-8 round. Watch the video, it's on youtube.

Khan won an Olympic silver at 17, Froch was 24 when he won a world bronze. Khan won 4 fights in Athens, I believe Froch won 2 in Belfast. Froch was a big hope for Sydney in 2000 but failed to qualify, even when he was given a box-off for a final place.

Froch's biggest win before boxing for the world title was over an ancient Robin Reid.

The trouble is G0mez, it's you who spills the poison, against Calzaghe and Khan. Why do you even care about Khan's twitters?
And as in the post above, what has Khan said that is as nasty as Froch's comments talking about his family ringside when he got knocked out. That is just plain nasty.

I heard someone else has access to Khans account as its happened before. I havent read this thread but I'm going to guess its 2 pages of Khan hate. Khans got reason to hit back at Froch though and in my view is far greater talent despite his lack of chin.

Khan's talking about a Bradley right now and a common sparring partner reckons he'll beat Bradley. That would be a big fight of 2 hot prospects. Unification at 140 could be very hot

In Khans mind he probably believes that Froch is jealous. Thats how some people think- but in reality he's just given his honest opinion with no personal gain. Most people have the same opinion as Froch about Khan- are we all jealous too. Final piece of proof- look at Froches missus..... close thread.

I'd say Froch is more likely to be jealous of Calzaghe, then some light welterweight.

Froch won the first World ams medal by default!Haye was already in the final,do you think Carl lost his semi so he could continue making this claim?GOmez, you seem to remember the Hatton book you say,in it he clearly says he got a good contract from the start, and boxing at MSG in his second fight certainly suggests that.At no point does he mention pennies. As for the Khan party,i think you will find this is one of many stories in that book that lead to Fwank sueing, winning, getting substantial damages from the publisher and the book pulped! With Froch and Khan i think there is a bit of jealousy on both sides, but Froch should be the man here,Khan is 23.Froch will have been around that age when he won his bronze(i wont mention Khan won silver at 17 and national acclaim at the Olympics).Carl needs to let it go,and ignore it if he is as chilled as you say.I suspect he is actually not quite as "not bothered" by his lack of recognition as he makes out.If so,he is in for a tough time after saturday. He really has made a rod for his own back with all the poop about jc and then getting beat by a worse version of Kessler! If he just concentrated on his own career instead of obsessing over others,he might achieve more,a bit like Witter.Sack the HS PR man,he tells all the boxers just to stalk big names until they piss off everyone in the country!

I think its possible Froch could be jelouse of Khan.
Khan is a household name wether you like him or not.
He has turned his boxing life around and is looking better than ever (even though i dont approve of powder puff Paulie).
If Froch is going to gob Khan off then he should have some back or does Khan hurt his fragile ego.
Its a shame Froch lost the weekend but im sure Khan was loving it.

gomez, serious question, have you ever heard the theory that when someone (Khan) is saying something obviously to provoke in some manner, if you respond to them on theirr own level or similar (shrill, bile-filled etc etc) then you are (1) in a way validating them and (2) actually giving them a measure of control over you, whereby they are able to dictate the level of your response?

i don't think childish diatribes are best answered by childish diatribes, myself.

Not really examined it on that level to be fair CP. My disdain for the cleverly marketed turd reaches back much further than any spat with Froch.

Bottom line is, anyone who has fought no fooker and yet declares everyone refer to him as 'KING' is a total prick.

I happen to think its a little sad how we have a 3 page spread where 2 of our best fighters are basically being slagged off.

Listen, Froch has huge bollocks for the way he has gone about things, however, he has at times took the piss out of others like Khan and JC therefore he deserves a bit back.

For the record Khan can only dream about the sort of resume Froch has, however the difference is I think Khan will prove to be the better fighter in the long run.

All of this baiting is a little sad to be honest.
