1) The general public know how poor Audley Harrison is. There aware its a mismatch.
2) The long term affect on Hayes popularity/credibility. If punters feel ripped off when the fight ends on 1 minute, there not going to buy a future PPV no matter who it's against.
3) Hayes next fight will have to be his mandatory.
You state the general public know how bad Audley Harrison is?? on what basis do you make such a sweeping statement? - are you the man of the people and thus their voice?

250,000 watched him lose for 11 rounds against Sprott, 5million watched him get knocked out by Sprott, 8 million watched him stink the house out against Williams.

I wouldn't watch this if it was in my back garden.

Harrison should have got out years ago he hasn't got the stomach for it.

I hate to say it, but the fight is a very, very easy sell. The 'general public' MIGHT know who David Haye is...it's likely that if they can remember Audley Harrison, it'll be for winning the Olympic gold.

They'll talk up the gold, build up the supposed double cross from Haye, remind us of Haye slaying the giant, show Audley sparking out Sprott with one arm...and you've also probably got two of the best 'talkers' in British boxing, well, ever.

Piece of piss. Hey, I'm not saying it's right...

You are giving the general public the majority who are not boxing fans an awful lot of credit - all they are interested in - is who won the fight - Audley Harrison won that particular fight and he did it in rather spectacular fashion - I am not sticking up for Audley here as I was desperate for Sprotty to win.

Most of the general public only remember the last fight and if that particular fight was on TV then your fortunes and credibility go on whether you win the fight or not - I remember being totally astounded how I was hearing Ricky Hatton getting a slating for the Pacman fight - I overheard a number of conversations saying he was sh*t - I felt like interupting and arguing what Hatton has done for British Boxing etc etc etc. David Haye's fight stunk the place out against Valuev - but he won - and thats all Joe Public wanted!!!!

The fight of Haye v Harrison is going to be a very very easy sell for those involved - Harrison and Haye will do their jobs of slagging each other off - the PPV sales will go through the roof of that you can be guaranteed and I honestly think it will come close to one of the biggest this country has seen - big statement but I honestly people are going to make huge amounts of money.

Saying all that - yes I ackowledge - we as boxing fans on the whole are in agreement its a one sided fight with the minority having a nagging doubt that Harrison has a punchers chance - no one involved in this fight will give a f*ck what us true boxing fans think - because the fight will sell big time - bucket loads of cash for everyone.

Whats more - I think the fight will have us lot talking whatever the result - you will have those who state "told you so" - you will have those slating absolutely slating the loser - so everyone in boxing in the UK including the true fans will be talking about the fight one way or another.
