why will his next fight have to be a mandatory? he's got until at least next april to worry about mandatories
You state the general public know how bad Audley Harrison is?? on what basis do you make such a sweeping statement? - are you the man of the people and thus their voice?robpalmer135 wrote:when putting together this match up I think Sky and Hayemaker are underestimating a few things.
1) The general public know how poor Audley Harrison is. There aware its a mismatch.
2) The long term affect on Hayes popularity/credibility. If punters feel ripped off when the fight ends on 1 minute, there not going to buy a future PPV no matter who it's against.
3) Hayes next fight will have to be his mandatory.
250,000 watched him lose for 11 rounds against Sprott, 5million watched him get knocked out by Sprott, 8 million watched him stink the house out against Williams.Spud wrote:robpalmer135 wrote:You state the general public know how bad Audley Harrison is?? on what basis do you make such a sweeping statement? - are you the man of the people and thus their voice?
I hate to say it, but the fight is a very, very easy sell. The 'general public' MIGHT know who David Haye is...it's likely that if they can remember Audley Harrison, it'll be for winning the Olympic gold.robpalmer135 wrote:250,000 watched him lose for 11 rounds against Sprott, 5million watched him get knocked out by Sprott, 8 million watched him stink the house out against Williams.Spud wrote:robpalmer135 wrote:You state the general public know how bad Audley Harrison is?? on what basis do you make such a sweeping statement? - are you the man of the people and thus their voice?
You are giving the general public the majority who are not boxing fans an awful lot of credit - all they are interested in - is who won the fight - Audley Harrison won that particular fight and he did it in rather spectacular fashion - I am not sticking up for Audley here as I was desperate for Sprotty to win.robpalmer135 wrote:250,000 watched him lose for 11 rounds against Sprott, 5million watched him get knocked out by Sprott, 8 million watched him stink the house out against Williams.Spud wrote:robpalmer135 wrote:You state the general public know how bad Audley Harrison is?? on what basis do you make such a sweeping statement? - are you the man of the people and thus their voice?
