Harsh mate, he didn't get a chance to show people how good he is.

Just ignore Lefty. He's not worth it.

When Dilks was backed up against the ropes I don't think one of Degales punches landed. Dilks had his guard up and his elbows tucked in. Poor stoppage imo.

To be fair, the fight was stopped way too early.

Compare that stoppage to Khan- Prescott etc etc,,, Not saying Howard is a bad ref- he's a good one, and a top guy. Always says hi at the shows and stuff- but just thought it was a little premature- if your on the ropes intelligently defending, which Carl was, then a mills lane 'FIGHT BACK' shout wouldn't go amiss.

Unlucky Carl you'll be gutted when you watch that back- but life is about tests and this will be a good test for you to come back from.

Because you're being rude. Think about what you're saying and the impact it will have before you click on "Submit".

I'm sure Carl will let us know if he felt it was premature or not, he is an honest guy.

Have to agree Lefty- not sure about your involvement in boxing but fighters sacrafice normal lives to be boxers for your entertainment.. bit of respect and constructive critism would be more helpful.

i'd say you try, but a mug like yourself would not be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring :!:

adamu looked shot v groves & it flatterd groves as smigga pointed out before it took place.

dilks done the weight ok but is he's career at l.heavy??? he looked flat against adamu & tonight against degale while it lasted.
i felt at first premature but foster is up close & dilks was in a shell getting bombarded, it was right & like degale said he never complained.

dilks did look very nervous in there.

Hey im not going to kiss arse il leave that to you!Carl talked very big, saying he was going to knock degale out and whilst i understand there bravado there that was a very poor performance!Getting blown out in one round when you've said you're going to do this and do that leaves you open to criticism!

I understand your point Jeff but when you talk big like Carl did on this forum and in interviews in general then you have to deliver and not get blown out in a round!

These things happen bud!! Carl started ok, landed a couple of good shots, and i'm sure he had every intention of giving it his best shot- I thought the stoppage denied him that.

He wasn't blown out in a round, I always believed Degale would stop Dilks but that was ridiculous, Carl was still on his feet and just coming up to the end of round one, outclassed? Yes absolutely. Blown out? Nah not even close.
