Shane Chapman "Choppa" Was definitly a legend in Kickboxing circles. But to suggest he is NZ's biggest draw card in boxing behind David Tua is a huge call. I would say Shane Cameron is the 2nd biggest by far. What are your thoughts??
According to Boxrec the facts on Choppa are.
Boxing Pro debut 2002 to date 8wins 1loss 1draw.

Of the wins 3 of them have been against guys on there debut :shame: . 2 of them against a guy who had only 1win to his name that makes up 5wins. 2 more wins come against a guy who is a journeyman winning 50% or less of his fights making 7 and his debut was against a similar level opponent making up his 8wins.

The fact is Choppa has never beaten anyone who has won more fights than they have lost.

I hear he is now fighting a guy who has never won from four starts and been knocked out in 2 of them. It would be good to see choppa step up and stop fighting these sorts of guys.
His 1loss was to a credible opponent in Daniel Mckinnon but I guess if you build your record on guys who dont know how to win then you will never learn to challenge yourself and be a better boxer. What do you think? Choppa isnt Sonny Bill (in terms of opponents) or is he? After all we do know people will pay to see SBW beat up bums but we know he aint no boxer.[/quote]

So it's safe to say without seeing him fight, that Chopper isn't going to win world honors then.

Can't always judge a fighter by his opponents...30 sec more Mckinnon might have been stopped...Choppa was getting the better of Pownceby till Soul head butted him...I have seen some world class fighters with absolutely poor records...I saw Choppa fight both these guys on TV and he was in it...unorthadox for a boxer but a fighter...

Yes, maybe unorthodox for a boxer, I haven't seen him box but I have seen him fight much more than once and he is truly a fighter.
