Presumably he's saying that you should give them another tag; tomato can for example.

A bit harsh on the other guy - I don't think chin scales as much as punching power. There are a lot more knockouts at Heavy than the lighter weights and it's not all to do with ability.

The final eliminators/ British title fights I'd love to see are:

Fury - Dallas
Price - Towers
Olubamiwo - Rogan

I think Warren's only got chisora (and maybe Sexton), so that's good news, and if the above contenders and a few others start fighting each other, the heavyweight division could really come to life in Britain. :TU:

Your right hurlock, some do hate the tag too but , fornicate me they must have list more than a good few to be laballed a journeyman, what do they wanna be called. I'll be honest I turned over real late just wanting to box regular , I'm proud as to be a journeyman. As I said , a good one takes top boys all the way, gives em trouble, & a good work out. I would meet have boxed on the big shows against good names if I would have tried to sell a ticket & worked my way up. Like most I would have got beat , realised I weren't great & quit skint

have you ever been hit on the chin with ten ounce gloves on by a 17/18st man 6ft 8?
im guessing from your comments proberly not!
This argument always makes me wince. Pound for pound, smaller men hit just as hard if not harder than talentless, overweight, overrated heavyweights. They are simply better fighters.

pmsl dont talk wet man, and as for the punches being the same its u and greaves who dont know what ur on about u clowns

You really are a plumb mate, there ain't that many heavies to box. They get more dough, and they just ain't athletic enough to box 26 times a year. You think one 17 stone guy hitting another 17 stone guy is more powerfull than a 10 stoner doing likewise . Most ten stoners don't have a two stone beer gut , your the bloody idiot pal. Have you boxed & do you know what the fornicate your talking about? Moron

Getting hit is relative; that's why there are weight divisions. A 17stone man hitting a 17 stone man is equitable.

A 10 stone man hitting a 10 stone man is equitable.

im a plumb ur the punch bag who doesnt know what hes on about
of course its relative, a man 18 st hitting another man of similar weight is not the same as a man of 10 st hitting another man of 10 st
a punch is delivered by speed x weight= force
some right cabbages on here your one of them

There are plenty of knockouts in the flyweight division. Look at the top flyweights according to BoxRec. Compare them to the much heavier light heavyweights and there isn't much of a difference when it comes to the number of knockouts being produced. As mentioned before, power is relative. For the most part, a flyweight hurts a flyweight just as easily as a heavyweight hurts a heavyweight.

as much as i hate how your talking to a pro boxer , the very point of this forum who without we would not be here discussing this , i have to say i understand where your coming from with this , although im not sure about the maths and also bear in mind lighter guys are faster , thus that can generate more force .

and to be fair a bigger guy can take a bigger punch , in theory

Some of the biggest hitters in boxing history have been at the lighter weights; Olivares, Gomez, Zarate. Ricardo Lopez was a straw weight and had terrific power.

My first post in this was just to say some boys get knocked out in their first few fights & are called journeymen, if you read my posts I wasn't talking exclusively about heavies. While I respect everyone's oppinion , your a mouthy mug, you talk out your hole! So the boys from superfeather to welter can't hit , & because I haven't been hit by a heavy , I can't comment. Plonker!

Ur right greaves im having a go at. The wrong Person here it's this bennie hasn't got a clue
I'm not saying lighter weights can't punch but I'm saying it's not the same at heavyweight it's totally different, that's why they say heavies are different and also just cos ur a pro boxer ( a journeyman) I'm not gonna lick ur arse or anyone elses for that matter like a lot of posters on here .

The heavyweights are not different, they are heavier.

There are not more knockouts in heavyweight bouts than others.

For the most part heavyweight boxing is not as refined, precise and skilled as lower weight boxing. Most are big strong lumps that swing for the seats; there are exceptions but that's my opinion.

There is much more to a knockout punch than sheer strength and weight.

Most of the greatest knockout artists have been outside the heavyweight division.

Look the truth, I don't want to argue with anyone. You had a go so I retaliated. I just see a proper journeymans job as more than just a kid that gets knocked out every other fight. I'm just defending lads like kris laight, Dan thorp etc! Think they should be separated from the lads with no talent or chin. Weight is not an issue.
