Thanks for the update CG whats the problem, are they perhaps thinking of making it for the English title which would be 10 rather than an eliminator over 12?

Keep us informed

I assume this would be the English welterweight title would it ? The one Adnan Amar, due to injury I seem to recall, has never defended since winning it back in October 2009.

Just to go off topic slightly for a second, due to all the late pull outs do people reckon i'll just be able to turn up and pay on the door tomorrow?

I don't understand how the boxers manages to keep their nerves in check with all this palaver. It's one thing training for ages with a fight in mind and then having the opponent change etc and doubts over whether the bout is going on; it must be very difficult.

Respect to Michael Lomax as well; he must be a proper professional to be in such shape to step in and save the show. He's a very tidy boxer, with range. Frankie should have too many angles, speed and know how; I think it'll be good to watch.

The Warren site says Frankie is ready for 12 hard rounds but perhaps that just a right up - lot of the bookies gone with 12 rounds.

Hopefully CG may get something from Michael before he goes a kip for the night

It's definitely a 12 rounder an lomax was made lose weight so he was 10st 7 so they. Must be hopeful of a title I weighed 10.6 an a bit easy enough will be at light welter next fight what ever happens

Do you think you'll be at light welter for the long term frankie?

Did he have to weigh in more than once Frankie or are you talking about before he came to the weigh in mate

He weighed in then had to strip down and skip some weight off. Then had twenty minute run. Will prob weigh around 11 1/2 come tomorrow though.

Was it not a problem then mate, or did the lateness of the eventual phone call cause problems, hope he's in good nick, it will be a good test for Frankie to deal with Michael
at his best.

He'll have a sizeable weight advantage then

He's in reasonable shape, always in the gym and was ready for ten rounds with Lee purdy on the wembley bill until he withdrew with injury. He will have a weight advantage but I don't know whether that will help or hinder.

He should be in great shape, the Purdy fight was only called off this week wasnt it?I would have thought he is buzzing, too,he must be on excellent money stepping in like this.

You would think money would be good, but you know what promoters are like. He's actually looking forward to the fight regardless of the payday. Well that's what he tells me anyway. I'm sure the money helps though.lol.

it may be the case that the promoter thinks hes doing lomax a favour too since he was without a fight too...

Michael gets to be joint top of the bill; on a Saturday night SKY Sports show; how many boxers get that? Frankie Gavin is a full league above Lee Purdy but Michael is no mug. He can box ever so well, is tough and is a fair bit bigger. I hope he gives it a go; I've nothing at all against your pal, I think he could give Daws a real go, or just about anyone come to that. I'd like Frankie Gavin to win but to be pushed, Michael will pose different questions than Jason Cook (who must be gutted, hope the lad keeps his chin up).

I reckon it'll be a good bout.
