Excellent round from the champion. Johannson has put so much into this I think he's all but done.

Sykes deserves this one. His cornerman McGowan is hilarious - would make Chubby Brown blush!

Don't know what Johaneson's corner are doing telling him to step back ; he needs to forward and go for it here. Good work from Sykes he's got real grit.

Sykes youth wins him this fight, Johansson probably would have won this a few years ago, but he just doesn't get 12 rounds anymore in my view.

Great effort from Sykes, he is like a little terrier, I think you need to stop him to beat him....

117-112 Sykes. Score doesn't seem fair on Johannson but Sykes was a clear enough winner.

Hats off to both boxers. I think it's fair to say Sykes has been vindicated.

Just Gary, very good fight, some rounds hard to score but Gary for me. Neither disgraced, both proved a point.

Sykes now KO'd once and knocked down once in his last 2 fights. Chins ahoy! He will be vulnerable now to people who have improved like Crolla etc and obviously to Buckland. Great heart though from Sykes to get out from that knockdown

I don't think there was a great deal of shame in going down from a bomb like that. The way he recovered his strength was pretty impressive.

It was but I think it was kind of the last hurrah from Johannsson - whether it was wake making, lack of preperation or just lack of fitness I though Carl was throwing less in the 8th and was quite spent after 30 seconds of going for it when he nailed Sykes.

You get all kinds of women here, too tough for all you out of towners.

Sykes got decked by a MASSIVE shot by Buckland, but to be put down by a worn Johansson isn't good. He'll get twatted by Buckland again, IMO.
