ye billy, but if u expect a stephen smith from the 1st fight, ur in for a big shock mate. i no they both wernt the best the first fight, stephen being his first live fight, first title fight, first 12 round fight, snapped his tendon in the fourth round.. what is johns excuse, he had been ther an done all them things before?
John's excuse was he was shite and many thought he won, the same wont happen again.

; he was a splendid boxer 10 years before you boxed him Chris. Did he nip you on the titty or the ear?
Neck..then i put him down and the ref..Mr Roy Snipe just told him to get up...lol....he was past his best...didnt think he was that strong..i thought Dean Bramhall was stronger
You brought back memories; I sparred Dean and ducked out of sparring Peter; did you ever spar John Irwin or Carl Tilley? I used to work for Mr Snipe at Swinton Car Hire; he was a very tough man, there were a couple of lads out back who used to box unlicensed and he thought the world of Mark Epton.
I know Jon well.....I used to work in Doncaster and he used to come round and chat....i boxed Carl he was nothing special....he beat me on pts...was worth a draw...would not box me again...in fact thats the last time i saw kasi.....I know it sounds daft...but Dean WAS THE BEST OF THEM FOR ME...I saw Epton the day he came to spar witha very young Naz.....you know the rest

Yeah; I know the rest :( Mark could have still been a decent british level pro. Seen Kasi today; he's (appropraited) a cockeral and we've been trying to get it to do it's Cock a doodal doo! Doing a chicken dance round his yard. We got it to cry but it bit my lad on the arm. It's a beast. I'll tell him you've been on the site. (I sparred Kev Plant as well same time, I was 19/20, Kev was strong and left handed).
Dean got enough from the 'game' to buy 2 hairdressing salons; not bad going for the early 90's.

Good fight this.
You would have to think that in his own backyard without the knackered hand that Smith wins handily this time.
Never write off someone like John Simpson though

I know it sounds daft...
That doesn't sound daft at all; Dean knew 6 rounds of boxing with a heavy handed hitter like the back of his hand. He did it day in and day out; he could stay out of bother and hit them from a 'wrong' angle or at the 'wrong' time. He was a master at what he done, a master; same as Peter Buckley

I don't know if you did, but Simpson vs Smith should have won some sportsmanship award - both a credit for the way they conducted themselves in and out of the ring ahead of fight 1. Both a big credit to the sport, never see Jon moan about the dodgy decisions and robberies he has suffered in the past. From his fight with "Dirty" Den and a scandelous decision against Williams.
