The Ref could have stopped that in the last round for me.

Haskins a level above. Would rather not see someone of his calibre in the tournament when it's full of novices and fighters a level below - need to level out the playing field.

Well he holds the WBA something or other at Bantamweight, so I imagine he'll be highest in their rankings. The champ there is Moreno, who takes on Darchinyan next. The others are Mares and Donaire.

At 115 he might have a shot at a title, if he can make the weight.

I don't know about you guys, but last night's Prizefighter didn't catch fire imo.
The only real thrilling fight was Farrag-Lyons, the other six were either average or boring.
Even Uzzy's ringwalk was flat.

Comparing this edition with the one that Gary Buckland won (no. 14), the whole thing was a huge letdown.

Sad to see how far Don Broadhurst has gone back. I thought he looked world class the night he won the Commonwealth title.

Don did not look in shape at all and seemed to be plodding at times. You could see his class in the way he was picking his punches early on. Don't forget he has been inactive for a while and only had less than 2 weeks notice.

Is he suffering from the same distractions his good mate Frankie Gavin suffered from?

Your right he did only get 2 weeks Notice But he knew a long time before that and said he had been training was making sure he was fit incase of getting a call up, same as my self i went out to Finland training Camp for a couple of weeks was in very good shape and was more then ready but didn't get a look in.. Really fancied it in that line up I was the Biggest Man there 8) Aint often i get to say that ....

I did say its all about the Luck of the Draw, if Don had been in the 2nd half of it he wouldn't of won a Fight but instead he ends up in the Finals which imo he was lucky to get that far, i had Robinson winning 29-28 but as in his last few fights luck aint been on his side when coming to the Judges...

From the minute we got there, they made sure we was ok.. The Hotel was lovely, trainer and boxer had Seperate Room. All Expensive was paid right away without having to ask (even taxi to and from staion to hotel and hotel to venue), the money they gave for Food for 2 days was more then generous meaning that we didnt just have to eat at the Hotel but being able to out Restrents, at the end of the Night (fight night) they came looking for me to sort my cheque...

shame you wasnt in there martin haskin s and farrag would of been a great war for you mate specialy the young farrag great for tv mind you still the champ martin

Thanks... Would of been excitig fights, Farrag will be a serious contender in a year or two, being able to keep that pace up for 12 rounds

I understand you being pissed Martin after knowing you could of gave a better account. I think Don needs to get to Fly and campaign there. He won't do nothing at SuperFly IMO as he is too small.

Agree 100%..... The other Reserve Naji Ali beat Don in his last fight, but yet he was sitting along side me..........................................................

I was there at the LG at 1am on the Mag 7 show, the place was almost empty by then. Terrible time to box that. Don done a rib early on in that fight he said. But then everyone makes excuses. Ali is a decent fighter.

His fighting Jamie Conlon on the 22nd, hear good things about Jamie but if Ali is fit and as good as he was when i use to spar him i think he'l be very Hard to beat.......... Frank M's show on the 22nd look VERY VERY evenly Match.. Looks a good show....

Bumped into Haskins yesterday. I gave him his dues and said I thought he was a class above in there. He said he wants a title shot next. Wished him all the best for the future. Seems a decent lad.

He was look like a man against boys, nice fella as well.. Did he say what Title? I told Chris and Lee that i was reading that he wants to get the British outright but No one will fight him, told him that since Dec 11th 2009 iv been on to Frank M to put the fight on with me and him but all Frank kept saying is Sky TV wdont want any of Haskins fights... He's had a couple of years out and looks he tidied his style up after the other night i think Sky wouldn't mind showing his fights... Im up for it...

FW would get him on allegedly and a world title shot no doubt. This is a situation were the promoter can no longer offer anything to the boxer. Time to move to allegedly Haskins for your own future.
