I like to put a bit of support on here for Buncey as I like his work, but I feel like I've cheated on my girlfriend or something by laughing at your joke about Bunce liking full fat milk

I'll admit Bunce was always annoying but Steve Lillis really made me explode last night with some of his BS. "Internet fans are big on Russell due to seeing clips of him on youtube"-No we are big on him as we've seen him fighting plenty of times on US TV

"Fans have never seen these Japanese guys such as Nishioka until he went over to school Marquez"-The obvious part here was his fight with Munroe, but I'm sure plenty of others have seen his fight with Gonzalez amongst others.

It's almost like they expect the folk up at 2 am-5 am to be the "big fight crew" as opposed to the hardcore fans.
Who is he to say that he isn't happy with certain aspects of the Boxrec site. I reckon it's all down to whoever brown noses and it was interesting to see the atmosphere between him and Steve Collins early on in the Pacquaio - Marquez fight, because you could clearly see that Collins wasn't impressed with Bunce. He seems to walk around as if he knows everyone and everything and i find his east end dude persona a little tiresome. Who cares if he mentions Boxrec or individuals of sites, he knows no more about boxing than a lot of people on here and some of his statements are frankly stupid. Boxrec doesn't need him.
Always been the case and he seems to dislike it when people pull him up on his **** talking. It's annoying as hell that he decides fans are picky when we merely want FACTS!

I got "told off" last night on ESB for pulling Lillis up, but the fact is these people are paid by us (the fans) they shouldn't be talking down to us saying we've not seen such and such when most of us seem to watch more fights than they do.

This thread is like therapy for a few people who cannot handle the fact that Bunce is back full time on TV.

That's all he ever did anyway, he has never got involved in debates or expressed an opinion beyond one sentence !!

If I hosted a boxing hour I'd only be able to talk about what is being said on Boxrec because I very rarely go on Eastside, maybe it's just as simple as that?

I've always liked the fella untill recently, it's like he can't accept other peoples opinions if they are in conflict with his own. He seems to like the role of being the voice of the people when it comes to boxing yet he is becoming allegedly's monster for me. Hope he get's his head out his arse and get's back to what he does best.

Also the boxing hour is becoming boring, it's like the same lines & jokes every week. What ever happened with the idea of the boxing hour being live at planet hollywood with the fans?
If he said something nice about Boxrec would members start throwing their knickers at him again ?

I really don't think, given the stuff going on in the sport that he crams into a weekly show, he is deliberately not talking about this website. He mentions eastside quite a bit, which I never go on, but you know what, maybe he just likes it on there for personal reasons or something ?

If he sat there talking about semi-skimmed milk every week, somebody, somewhere would be saying, Monty Python-esque in tone, "what the hell has Bunce got against full fat milk ?"

Roll on Mondays 8pm :TU:

Doesn't arse me what he mentions, it's just clear to see the lack of a mention is agenda driven.

Except for his comments about other peoples agenda whilst completely ignoring the irony of his own comments...

Is it just me or is the new boxing hour shite? I seem to remember being genuinely excited at around 1.30pm on a Thursday. Now, I don't even mind if I miss it, like last week.

Bunce's hyperactive helium-sucking style puts a few off. I quite liked the old setanta? Show he had but maybe it was just because I watch anything boxing related. You often get the feeling he's not interested in what guests say, rather just the sound of his own voice
