Well quite, I am always very suspicious of anyone that comes to live over here. Our Bangkok Post correspondent aside, I have never met a single foreigner living here who I would feel comfortable with knowing where I live.

Hardly a shit film Jeff and in my opinion Stretch is quite a good actor

Absolutely - thought the disabled guy played his part really well that's about it!

It is a commentary on small town hooligans who throw their weight around but back down when confronted by someone who is actually trained and stands their ground. It happens quite often. Check out Youtube for real life clips. Sonny etc. are all viewed as hard cases but in the film you never actually see them doing anything that could be considered tough or gritty apart from bullying a disabled kid. That's the whole point of Richard having the little speech about bullies and mentally weak cowards.

I grew up in Gorton and often saw a single individual stand his ground against a group of about 5-10 so-called 'hard men'.
