Ward looked so good for the first 8, but after that I thought he looked pretty ordinary. Not saying it wasnt a dominant peformance, but he kinda looked flat in the last few rounds to me.... Maybe just worked hard and eased off, but the last 4 were really flat.

Froch was poor. Why did it take him so long to start putting some serious effort in?

117-112 Ward

Ward looked uncomfortable for the last two/three. Just reading in boxing news earlier today that Froch thought he would have made a better 15 round man. Certainly would have been interesting tonight.

Fair play to Ward. Class fighter. Going to take some beating.

ugh, this fight was an anticlimax. lol at Jim Watt 'terrific from start to finish' ok jim.

Props to Ward, I picked him to win but i didn't think he would be able to impose himself on Froch like that. He did well.

HAHA with Froch raising his hands...pathetic.

Wonder what excuses he comes up...will he actually dare to say he deserved to win!

I also had it 116-112.
Ward is gonna be very hard for anyone to beat, he's got skills in every department. Spoils at the right times etc.

He would beat froch 100 out of 100.

I could see 116-112 if you gave all the close ones to Froch, but judges cards are bullshit these days and more about securing reputations than fair judging.

Admitted he was frustrated in there. Ward hard to hit. Ward won fair and square. Froch thinks he could beat him.

Froch never won any rounds convincingly apart from the last and even at that he only won it because Ward spoiled for 3 minutes.

Fair play to Froch for his post fight interview.
I wonder how different that interview would have been if he never seen the reaction to Khan being a cock end last week. Lol

As I thought, Froch just doesn't have the skills. He said as much in his post fight interview. I can't think of one decent punch he landed. Skys commentary was poor - Ward is good but he's not the second coming. I think someone like Direll who can match him for speed could give him trouble.

Well was expecting the worst after he raised his hands but Froch gave credit to Ward so respect to him for that.

Well as i predicted before the Tourney began, Ward wins it all Easy and his only tough fight would have been Dirrell so hopefully we'll get to see that next year along with Bute.

I think Dirrell is his toughest assignment in the super mids, well potentially. Depends on how Dirrell comes back.

I think he beats Bute fairly convincingly

Ward did tire a little bit down the stretch but he did what he had to do in those last few rounds to secure the victory, his spoiling tactics were very good, in close like Carl said his holding and leaning meant he was edging those exchanges too.

I don't think we will see Froch vs Bute now which is a shame. I can see Froch possibly having an easyish fight possibly for something like the IBO to build confidence and then possibly facing Kessler for the WBO (when he wins that) while Ward faces Bute. After that I'd expect Froch to probably move up whether he wins loses or draws a Kessler rematch. Fair play to Froch tho late on in all his fights he seems to do the business, unfortunately tonight it was just to bring some respectability to the scorecard rather than to win. I'm gonna have a read of the Current scene now and no doubt end up pulling my last few threads of hair out.

It looked to me like Nelson closed the show and Smith thought hang on a minute I'm the boss here and I'll have the final word!

Dirrell doesn't deserve a shot at Ward and I don't want to watch it if he does get a shot.

Imagine how negative that fight would be!
