Even the local fool selling 20 bags a week has to keep people in line. Drugs at any level is wrong.Final round wrote:There's a massive difference between 'dabbling' in drugs and becoming an enforcer/debt collector for a big time firm.

Non prescription drugs taking or selling. Coffee aspirin etc fine. Illegal drugs is wrong. But ms sufferers who take cannabis should be given it on the NHS. I had a look ant some posts and lots of drug takers on here. Never saw the appeal. I feel for the kids left behind.palooka wrote:ROLLING wrote:Even the local fool selling 20 bags a week has to keep people in line. Taking them or selling them?
Thanks for your time ROLLING; do you think that illegal drugs are wrong because they are illegal or because they ae inherently evil?ROLLING wrote:Non prescription drugs taking or selling. Most drugs - whether we like it or not, are illegal for a reason. Things that when taken unsupervised can cause great social and physical harm should be banned. It destroys lives/communities. I know a few drug riddled people and a few who died. Mugs game and better to be in control of yourself. Governments should sell drugs and tax it, the 'right on middle classes' will then stop buying cocaine and weed from the working class mules who usually end up battered dead or both when it gets out of hand. Horatio and Tarquin just swill champagne while the donkeys kill eachother.palooka wrote:Thanks for your time ROLLING; do you think that illegal drugs are wrong because they are illegal or because they ae inherently evil?ROLLING wrote:Non prescription drugs taking or selling. If the government sold drugs then the streets would be a safer place.palooka wrote:ROLLING wrote:Most drugs - whether we like it or not, are illegal for a reason. Alcohol was illegal in the USA and is illegal in many Muslim countries.
Governments are complicit in the production and logistics of drug movement. Other Governments (including our own) make aliences with drug warlords/cartels to further their own ends and have since the Opum Wars.
Drug consumption/control/regulation and traffic is almost as old as civilisation. It is a multi billion pound industry on a par with the oil complex. To imagine that a trade that generates so much money is in the hands of the working class runners/gofers would be nieve. The 'right' people get a good cut of the actio; the profit is as a consequence of 'i illegality.

I mean it would stop the gangs running drugs. Why buy froma dealer who may kill you later if you can get it from the government? Controlled amounts. Amsterdam is a better example than Columbia. The government here is crap but hardly that corrupt.palooka wrote:You want to go to Columbia or one of the border towns in MexicoROLLING wrote:If the government sold drugs then the streets would be a safer place.palooka wrote:

Because our government is all about GDP. Whatever it takes to balance the books they will do but Cameron and Clegg ( Bill and Ben) won't have the average weed smoking citizen rubbed out over a drug debt.palooka wrote:Iapologise; I got the wqrong end of the stick regards the 'safer' thing.
(If our Govenment is just crap and not corrupt though; how can it do business with corrupt and brutal regimes?)

The whole issue is boring.
