Having just looked fury is 6th in the world.
Putting it in perspective he would be crazy to fight a guy ranked in 32nd position despite the british title.
It aint gonna happen

He stated in one minute - if he won the purse bids the fight will take place in March, then next breath he said the fight isn't likely to happen until May..... so, unless I misheard that, it said alot about the funding Sky is giving its boxing promoters.

I think it's fair enough if Fury goes for the European belt rather than defend the British. Price will catch up to him at some point. There's no hurry.

Price has all the skills to beat Fury but then whenever is it that simple? Fury for me, as basic as he is, has real heart and agression and that does carry you. Froch is a good example, although again he does have more boxing skills than Fury but his attitude when in a fight can't be knocked for me. Fury would make Price work for it and who knows Tyson could break him.

Price won a title eliminator, he deserves a shot at the title. Simple as that really.

Totally agree. That was my point earlier. It's a competitive division in Britain just now. Get these boys in with each other.

Points well made Keith. I think it's pretty obvious Fury is going to vacate.

It might allow us to see Price fight another 3 times this year at domestic level before moving up for the Euro strap, which may well be Fury or Helenius. A US debut fight, then probably Sexton for the British Title and maybe 1-2 defences (like to see Chisora) before going for the EBU. We could well see Fury V Price but I think it'll be around this time next year if we look at it from a rankings point of view, surely a bigger fight if it simmers for a while?

There are certain instances where this is acceptable and a natural progression when you're done with British title level, but Fury hasn't been offered a Euro shot so what are the grounds? People are saying he will vacate to avoid a match with Price.

Fury doesn't have to fight him, but he can't keep the title if he avoids him.

I don't mind if this fight doesn't happen now as long as it happens at some point in the next 2 or 3 years. Price can fight Sexton, Harrison or Sprott for the vacant title and Fury can move on to fight for the European title or go after a world title.

Sky would love that fight on their channel. I been told Eubank Jnr fighting in February so its like Fury is as Hennessy only headliner thats why May is more relaistic for this fight also give it time to sell.

Having finally found this on YouTube I have to admit I'm surprised by the excitement over his performance. McDonut was fatter than ever and any good heavy would have KOd that version of him. As far as power Price hardly looks the reincarnation of Lyle or Shavers.

He looks a solid enough prospect, did the job any good heavyweight should do on a 20 stone whale, now let's see how he does vs a live body.

Talking about being champ in 2 years is ludicrous. Does anyone seriously doubt Chris Arreola or Helenius could comatize McDermott in 1 rd? And they're not going to be champion anytime soon.

Yes, for straight win. Fight must take place in 2012 though. Not looking good is the bookies are offering those odds.

Never said he will be fighting for World titles this year,but he will beat Fury with ease
