certainly the best and most dramatic comeback of recent times.

what next for derry? he got an EBU title shot after losing in prize fighter. so he'll probably at the very least get another crack at the european (rees-mitchell winner). but while those 2 are busy, any chance of a world title shot at ricky burns? a massive ask, i know, for a fighter who was considered damaged goods not long ago. but i have to ask...

Maybe so lad, but am pretty sure there's more to it.

I like both Smigga and Derry. If Smigga wants to support his stablemate, then that's fine by me. I'm not one to geg in and take sides without knowing truly what's happening behind the scenes.

We've all been wrong about boxers and who'll win what. I was a bitsurprised that Paul Smith didn't seem to acknowledge Matthews when he came across to Crollas corner. Saying that; I don't think he should support or push a boxer just as they're from Liverpool. That's silly.

Derry did very well v Crolla; on the showing the domestic lightweight division is wide open; I imagine that Crolla would be beat by Mitchell, Rees and Murray as well.

Smith is a very good boxer and a hard hitter; he'll do well at middle if he can settle into the weight correctly.

i think smith should move down to middle, there are a lot more bigger fights there for him macklin, murray and barker are the ones that spring to mind. im not saying he should support derry cause he is from liverpool im saying he should really sit on the fence, derry used to be his stable mate too from the amateurs, maybe smith just doesnt like derry or something.

im just going off what smith said on ringside, they used to be gym mates, maybe i misunderstood him and he meant they were gym mates in the pros then?
