What does that mean?

Adam - I thought it'd be self explanatory to be honest. Fury looked good, in shape, not afraid of being away from home and against a competitor. That he beat the man in a southpaw stance and with a 1 punch (body) finish showed that he's progressing.
The USA has had whip hand when it comes to heavyweights as long as I can remember. The Klitshko brothers are going against the historical tide and; for me; are Russian, not European. The European heavyweight has been a bit of a joke and Fury looked decent last night and is young. To be a boxing fan oesn't need you have to be a die hard cynic.

over 80% of the russian population is on the western side of the Eural mountains which makes them european anyway (spelling could be incorrect). But the point he was making stands if price had had the same fight outcome people would be raving about him.

Fury is young and has time to learn, but i think unfortunately he's just a good enough natural athlete, his coordination is pretty poor and for a man of his size, he has very limited power.
Price may be untested, but his technique is proven, and there is absolutely no question that he has power, thunderous power. Price's chin remains the question mark, but Fury just doesn't hit hard enough for it to be a factor.
If they ever face, something i think Fury's management will avoid like the plague, if the have any sense, Price will smash him to smithereens.

All i hear people say is that fury hasnt got power yet in reality he has stopped 13 of his 17 opponents, i think his power may not be awesome but its certainly being underrated.

If you look at the quality of opponents Fury has fought on a fight by fight basis, he has fought some very good fighters at early stages of his career.

I watched the fight this morning here at Langmaid Towers as I was out last night playing board games with friends to help us get over the recent tragic loss of a friend of ours. When I watched the opening round I had to double take as I could not believe that I was actually seeign Tyson Fury fighting as a Southpaw either and it took him a coupe of rounds to get the range and his shots off effective before he managed to drop Rogan in the third. Then once he got his rhythem after that he started to dominate the fight more and back Rogan before stopping him with that body shot in the fifth. I was quite surprised to see Rogan's trainer actually come into the ring as it was near the end of the round so Rogan would have had time to recover before heading out for the sixth. But it is pretty damn rare to see a Heavyweight especially one of Fury's size taking guys out with bodyshots regardless of the quality of the opposition in front of him.
I think the victory continues to cement his status as one of the top 2 British Heavyweights in the country alongside David Price, with perhaps Fury having the slight edge in terms of activity and quality of opposition faced when you compare their careers, although Price has the superior technical ability, but on the European stage I don't think the win against Rogan will not buy him as much currency as Mick Hennessy thinks they will. As for Five talking him up etc, they have to it's their job they have made a considerable investment in showing boxing on their air. I do agree that Fury is still young at 23, but if he fights often and gets good sparring he should make a good European level heavyweight at least and I would not mind him seeing him go in with either
Helenius (once he is fully fit)
Dimitrenko-Pulev winner for the European title.

Bernard Checa did Rogan a huge favour by pulling him out, he's a good man. Rogan had looked over at him just before, and it was obvious he wanted out, and his corner saved face for him.

Fury did what was expected of him. Anything less than a stoppage victory would have fallen short of the mark. I had a decent bet on the stoppage as I just couldn't see it going any other way. He beat who was put in front of him and he beat him well. I think there is little we can take from the fight apart from the fact Fury tried a different game plan and weighed in light for whatever reason (depression/worry, illness, focus, hard work and training).

For me this was Fury's best performance so far. Chisora is obviously a better win, but I thought he showed far better composure this time round and there was more method to his work. Not a stellar win obviously but definitely a step in the right direction.

Ok performance vs an old man... let's not get too excited
If he ever does step up he gets knocked out. And by stepping-up I mean David Price, or someone who comes with ambition
And by 'ambition' I don't mean brave plodders

Neven Pajkic, Dereck Chisora and Marcelo Luiz Nascimento - none of those guys are brave plodders.

What are they then?
Chisora's best win is v Sexton; he's gone on to prove that in the ring he has heart but vs Fury he was a slob relying on winging hooks and rushes... little technique.
Fury is a joke; used to feel he had potential but he's treading water. Rogan was no test. Price would be.

Price is a far bigger joke than Fury. Fury has faced much better opposition than Price.
Fury is a top 10 heavyweight in the world now, he is hardly a joke.

You insult chisora who was blatantly robbed against helenius but herald Price whos best win is McDermott (who had lost 4 of his last 5 fights) and is fighting sexton next.

Slightly off topic, but do you agree with Fury being a top ten heavyweight? I was surprised when The Ring put him in at 10 ahead of the likes of Tony Thompson and Kevin Johnson when he hasn't fought at Euro level yet.
I would say he's more top 20 along with the likes of Wach, Mitchell, Stiverne who are also waiting to step up.

That would be the same McDermott that most feel was robbed against Fury in their first fight. If you're going to bring up the Chisora decision then use a bit of consistency. Most feel Fury should be 1-1 against a guy Price got rid of very very quickly.
Fury's opposition has been of a much higher level than Price's, but he's looked a lot more vulnerable against them.

Well said... he lost to McDermott, as most of us felt Chisora beat Helenius and lost a decision
No disrespect KingFinn but you still believe Audley is a top heavyweight, don't you?
Horse - how is Price a joke? Fury has some good names on his record, but he's a mile away in terms of ability, style and power.
I take Price to KO him should they meet.
