has this fight been confirmed?

I'm a bit disappointed that it wasn't announced today.
If it does get announced, I'm having a score on Mitchell to knock Burns out in the 8th. He hits very hard for a lightweight, and I think he dances better than Burns too.
He hasn't fought Burns. I'm not interested in any bullshit sparring you may or may not have seen, or what Burn's trainer says.
I know I was therekingfinn wrote:Dan Dares wrote:Nonsense. He punches just as hard as Katsidis, and he's a lot more accurate.kingfinn wrote: he doesnt punch anywhere nears as hard as katsidis and he couldnt hurt burns.

so far the 3 nutt huggers on this site have he hits harder than katsidis, he's more accurate than katsidis, he has a masterful boxing brain and a granite chin. Yet katsidis smashed him up in 3 rounds without even breaking a sweat.
I'm not a 'nuthugger'. It's just my opinion that Mitchell hits just as hard as Katsidis, and is a better boxer than Burns. Got nothing to do with 'nuthugging'. Mitchell's loss to Katsidis was down to Mitchell, not Katsidis.kingfinn wrote:Dan Dares wrote:Nonsense. If his promoter didn't believe that a focused, fit Mitchell would beat Katsidis, he wouldn't have made the fight. And he certainly wouldn't have made the fight with Burns had Katsidis not been further shopworn from severe beatings off JMM and Guerrero.
Burns has improved dramatically, which makes it a good fight. Full respect to him and his trainer for this, but fancying Mitchell to knock Burns out doesn't make me a 'nuthugger'.
Thats because sparring for some fighters is rather different to when they actually box the 'event'Emmseegee wrote:Did you see Burns spar mitchell in the lead up to the Mitchell v Murray fight?
I can remember rumours around that time that burns had too much for mitchell in the sparring sessions which resulted in them being cut short. Possibly just rumours but at the time when i heard it i was tempted to whack a decent sum on murray to stop mitchell. Glad i didnt.
Not what I heard, to be honest it was common knowledge in Mitchell's camp that Burn's was brought in at the beginning of Mitchell's training so to get sharp as there is no denying that Burns is a good sharp boxer....But just different levelsbilly nelson wrote:Des 1 this is were you need to get your facts right mate, ive had reporters calling me after they sparred saying a member of Tean Mitchell said Kevin handled Ricky easily, well im sorry when your close to someone like me and Ricky are and know the hard hard work he puts in and people are talking shit then yes im going to defend him all the way, sorry for being loyal i know its not great in our sportDes1 wrote:Billy Nelson: You really let yourself down by the way you post on here. You'd get a lot more respect as a Trainer/Coach if you didn't go on about what 'happened' in sparring sessions,(as we all know, a spar can be very different than the event) and also by discrediting Mitchell to the point of not giving him any respect is wrong...and not wise. What would happen if the 'unthinkable to you' happened and Mitchell won? Would you look back at these posts by yourself and cringe? Sometimes its better to be humble and go about your business. I find that hard to believe as Jimmy and Mark Tibbs would never disclose information about what went on in sparring behind closed door's. Maybe what your talking about is what the 'reporter' saw for themself??billy nelson wrote:Des 1 this is were you need to get your facts right mate, ive had reporters calling me after they sparred saying a member of Tean Mitchell said Kevin handled Ricky easily, well im sorry when your close to someone like me and Ricky are and know the hard hard work he puts in and people are talking shit then yes im going to defend him all the way, sorry for being loyal i know its not great in our sportDes1 wrote:Billy Nelson: You really let yourself down by the way you post on here. Kevin hasnt achieved anything like what Ricky has and end off geezer...Yes he has. He's been British and Commonwealth Champ, they've both acheived alot. Mitchell also he won the British Title stopping a man who defeated Burns very wide on points. You and others go on about the Katsides result to compare them so why not the Carl Johannson result?billy nelson wrote:The thing is Jimmy Tibbs knows and Kevin knows whats going to happen and it wont go away!!!jessi wrote:Billy you must know deep down kevins gona beat your man, abit like cottos trainer, he never really believed it, the talks just talk and it sells fightsbilly nelson wrote:This fight hasnt even been mentioned to us for the 14th June doesnt matter anyway only one winner,i know ive the better man by some margin

No it wasn't, anyway as a trainer/coach you should know you can't go by sparring at who would win the 'contest'. Sparring is not a real fight Billy....billy nelson wrote:It was also the begining of Rickys camp no excuses ladsDes1 wrote:Not what I heard, to be honest it was common knowledge in Mitchell's camp that Burn's was brought in at the beginning of Mitchell's training so to get sharp as there is no denying that Burns is a good sharp boxer....But just different levelsbilly nelson wrote:Des 1 this is were you need to get your facts right mate, ive had reporters calling me after they sparred saying a member of Tean Mitchell said Kevin handled Ricky easily, well im sorry when your close to someone like me and Ricky are and know the hard hard work he puts in and people are talking shit then yes im going to defend him all the way, sorry for being loyal i know its not great in our sport

Ricky has became a two weight world champion with the fullest of repect at present theres no comparison between the two
I 100% saw them spar, and from what I saw Mitchell didn't show anything near what his capable of and it was still 50/50, ask billy joe saunders, he was there !kingfinn wrote:that makes 2 of youjessi wrote:I agreeEddy wrote:Kevin's gona smash him up. Find it funny how no one's giving Mitchell a chance again. If you look up some posts I put up about Kevin last year before the Murray fight, everyone was saying he didn't have a chance in hell. I think I was the only one that thought he'd beat John. Then what happens, ...Kev stopped him, ...hahaha! Now you're saying that Murray played into Mitchell's hands with his "come forward style" The same aggressive style you all said would be too much for Kevin.
Now it's like Deja-vous all over again!
Kevin will send the sweaty back up the M1 with a black eye."Team Tibbs"
and one of you had to make up they went to a non existent sparring session where mitchell won.
Listen mate how the fornicate would you know? im telling you it was at the start of our training camp and Ricky was far far betterDes1 wrote:No it wasn't, anyway as a trainer/coach you should know you can't go by sparring at who would win the 'contest'.
