have just watched the entire fight in HD and slow motion and can confirmthat bradley landed more punches than pac.the figures given by compubox are pure bull. both of them landed a fraction of the punches stated , in fact most of the fight hardly any punches were landed at all. this explains the fact that bradley barely had a mark on him

I watched it again last night and although I still think Pacquaio won it was closer than I originally thought when I watched it live.
First time round I had it roughly 117-111 but on second viewing I think 115-113 was probably a fairer reflection.
Still a robbery though...

I've just watched this now for the first time with no sound. Im absolutely flabbergasted at the contreversy over this, I had 116-112 Bradley. Boxing is this art of too hit, and not be hit, I think Brad did that better. Pac looked amatuer and wild at times and only fought for the last minute of every round.

Seriously? I'm shocked how anyone can give more than 5 rounds to Bradley and that is giving him the benefit of the doubt.

You only had to look at both boxers at the end of and in between each round. Pac looked like a guy who was coasting, Bradley looked like a guy who'd had the life sucked out of him. I saw none of his usual 'determination' that everyone was banging on about before hand. After round 2 all he did was sulk and realise he was up against a different level of fighter.

Maybe I need to watch it again when it's not 5/6am.

Can't deny Pac was the aggressor, but Bradley made him miss badly by just bobbing and weaving out of the way, despite what i've read i dont think he looked in any real trouble at any point. Its easy to be fooled by Pacs speed and hand movement but Bradleys counters where much cuter.

I think he was wobbled quite a few times, but not majorly on queer street. A few times I thought one more straight left and he's on his back.

Bradley seemed very gun shy to me, hardly put anything on any of his shots.

I've watched it twice. Both times 118-110 to Pacquiao.

At a push I gave Bradley the 6th and 10th rounds.

You gave Bradley 7 too?? :DD

And even worse you gave him 3, which was the round Pacquiao hurt him most wasn't it?

He was only fighting for the last minute of every round, Bradley was doing enough (jabbing away, the odd combo and bobbing and weaving and making Pac look silly) to take the rounds. He looked more cute with his punches compared to Pac - who in my opinion looked wild. Granted, Bradley was never gonna knock him out if they boxed all night, but its all about hitting and not being hit, which i think Bradley did better.

agree 100 %. again to all the doubters out there , watch the fight again in slow motion and you will see that pac was flailing away and missing with most of his shots. the ones he did land caught the attention because they were big and bradley was off balance . i didnt realize bradley was such a good defensive boxer intil i watched in slow mo

disagree 100%, nothing Bradley threw discouraged Pacquiao or put him off his game plan at all. Pacquiao connected with far more power shots and was defensively solid himself
Credit to Bradley though, he managed to keep his nut out of the equation for the most part, he was well conditioned as ever and showed his toughess and ring smarts, but he was to ineffective with it for my liking.

Rnd 3 was clear Pac round.

youngrell wrote:I am still really disappointed by this whole affair. While everyone seems to have Bradley winning between 1 and 5 rounds, which shows how close some of the round were (and I can see a point for any score between that, I give him 3 maybe 4), the disgrace is the fact that not a single person I have seen can come up with Bradley winning 7 rounds, because he simply didn't, not even near.

A few things annoyed me - firstly after about 3/4 rounds I started thinking to myself "why is Pacquiao carrying this guy?" Just get him out of there, shut up the doubters and go home early. The Pacquiao of old would have knocked him clean out ala Ricky Hatton. Instead he decided to take no risks and just cruise, even letting Bradley win the late rounds. He could have quite easily pitched a shut out. In the later rounds which Bradley took, Bradley did next to nothing, but Pacquiao somehow managed to do less. He obviously thought (like everyone else) the fight was wrapped up.

The other thing that annoyed me was post fight. The way Bradley went from limping around, playing on his foot injury (I actually thought there was another "toe" excuse coming up!) to running and jumping on the ring post celebrating like he was never in doubt he'd won, was just plain embarrassing.

Lastly, I was so sure of the result I wasn't even going to stay up to watch the decision. But intrigue of by how many rounds they would score it for Manny (off the back of the Marquez debacle) took over me and I watched. After seeing that and being so shocked/disgusted I couldn't go back to sleep, and didn't until last night, so this morning I am officially fvcked

Thanks boxing!
The whole thing was a complet sham. You could argue that Bradley won up to four rounds or if you were pissed and a biased Bradley fan, then maybe five, but as you soberly point out, Bradley certainly didn't win enough rounds to win the fight. This result was all about a possible re-match, as was the Marquez III fight and the people running boxing think that they can get away with it and people won't notice and keep shelling the cash.

See.......

I think this is what you call "official displacement theory" where once you hear the OFFICIAL scorecrads, ie, 115-113, you then re-watch the fight with these sets of figures at the front of your mind. I do find it interesting that you got the fight initially at 117-111 and then go way out with your re-watched score card of, wait for it, 115-113..................

Bradley wasn't doing enough.........

He was jabbing and trying some combinations, but they all bounced off Pacquaio's gloves !! Bradley looked plain naive and couldn't figure a way of unlocking Pacquaio, which is why for a large part of the fight he was going toe to toe with Pacquaio.

Your right when you say "It's all about hitting and not being hit......."

Bradley was punching but he wasn't connecting, he looked like he was doing pad work.

Quixall wrote:Just watcched the Pacquaio vs Bradley fight........

How on earth you get a a split decison win for Bradley, i do not know. There is a case for saying that Bradley won the 11th and 12th rounds and possibly, just possibly drew the 10th and definately won the 9th, but that's it. It took him seven rounds to realise and deal with Pacquaio's power and only in the last three rounds did he start to use tactics that should have been used from the opening bell. Most of Bradley's shots were landing on Pacquaio's gloves and when Bradley did have some success, he was equalled by Pacquaio, but most of all Bradley was out gunned for 75% of the fight. I have watched fights and seen bad decisions so often now, that it has totally spoiled my interest in the sport. The last bad one was Marquez being denied a victory over Pacquaio, so maybe they tried to equal that up with this fight. Even if you did have the fight closer than say Harold Letterman and had it by say two or three rounds, then i'm pretty sure most people would have given the fight to Pacquaio. When i heard that first 115-113, i thought " Oh dear......." and then when Bradley got a 115-113 i was shaking my head, because i just knew that the decision was going to go to Bradley. Having witnessed this type of thing so many times in recent years and with my interest in the sport waining anyway, this fight was the last straw for me. The sport is bent, pure and simple, whether you want to blame incompeteant judges or not, the sport stinks to high heaven. I didn't even want Pacquaio to win, but i am a fair judge when it comes to scoring fights and this was another travesty. That's it for me, i'm done, just totally fed up of watching arseholes fuk up a sport i once loved........Goodnight !!

Ps For what it's worth Mayweather will beat both Bradley and Pacquaio with ease.

Roger and OUT
Somehow I knew even before i read this that it would be left to you to articulate what the everyday fan felt. That boxing has lost one more erudite and loyal fan is but one more black eye and casualty for this sport.

yeah i agree too, bradley was better at hitting and not gettting hit. hence why he was hit with 100 punches more than he hit pac with.
