Just to make this crystal - it might be an editorial stance...but it isn't mine!Glyn Leach wrote: That's ok then, can keep trusting the record keeping, no need for that to be brought into question by an editorial stance
Smith doesn't even say this in interviews anymore... he looks scared tothepocketrocket wrote:So where are the board with this now. Is everyone attached going to be banned?
That was their original stance but the back peddled and changed their statement. Anyone now involved will be called before them. Not sure what for though now as it appears they are doing nothing wrong.thepocketrocket wrote:So where are the board with this now. Is everyone attached going to be banned?
Noone is a fighter looking to fight it has nothing to do with anythingtwenty six wrote:..... but I ask again, as a fighter with aspirations at British Title level, would you take the chance and fight on the undercard ?
The discussion is about the rules, legitimacy, stopping it in the future etc nit the undercardtwenty six wrote:It has everything to do with it.
Alright for Haye and Chisora with their fortunes stashed, but what about the future of BRITISH boxing ?
I don't give a flying f**k about Haye or Chisora.
Because at the speed the BBBofC have backpeddled they probably support the fight soontwenty six wrote:I didn't know you had a starring role in Back to the Future.
Please let me know the lottery numbers for Saturday mate I need to get em on.
Seriously how can you state what may or may not happen ?
Unless you are Charlie Giles in disguise !
The facts are that FW is doing nothing wrong (morally he is but that's a different discussion). To then withdraw licences is unlawful. Do you take someone's driving licence away because they bought a car from North Korea which is funding their econamy? No, but it might be morally wrong...twenty six wrote:That's it ?
That's all you've got to base your beliefs upon ?
Facts are facts.
Several boxers, seconds, trainers, refs, etc etc have been told to give this event a wide berth because NO ONE can say with any vailidity whatsoever what will happen (if indeed ANYTHING happens) post participation and as such as with most things in life you have to apply our own risk assessment.
The fact that the undercard is so poor, we can't even get an agreement on the ref (because Micey Vann was the only one they could dig up) etc etc speaks volumes.
No doubt whatsoever the event will take place.
Winners ? Bunny, Haye (if 3 mill is to be believed) Chisora.
Losers ? Well that remains to be seen.
Buglıonı and Gavın have saıd they turned down chances to appear on the show as they want to fıght for Brıtısh tıtles and dıdn't want to rısk black marks agaınst them. I'd guess a lot of genuıne prospects feel the same way but that fıghters wıth less promısıng futures mıght just vıew ıt as a better than average payday and only thınk short term. I've heard of at least one 'jobber' beıng offered well over the odds to appear.twenty six wrote:..... but I ask again, as a fighter with aspirations at British Title level, would you take the chance and fight on the undercard ?
What's wrong with you you got ADHD or summit? I'm not telling anyone to listen to me I'm stating facts.twenty six wrote:Tell that to the undercard fighters, trainers seconds refs etc.
Go ahead with confidence and listen to danconnollyeire.
We will never agree mate.
If you don't agree with it don't watch the fight. If you watch it you agree with it. Simplestwenty six wrote:ADHD summit ?
I hate heights mate.
You are not stating facts. You are providing you take on the matter.
Even you cannot give a guarantee how the legal process will unfold.
If it was factual that licences would not be affected etc etc then why has (for instance) Frankie Gavin refused to appear for fear it will end his chance of being British Champion ?
That's a hugely naive summary of events. My first reaction on the announcement of this fight was that I don't agree with it happening, but I will watch it. And I feel pretty much the same, although my excitement for the fight is significantly soured by the out of ring shenanigans surrounding it.danconnollyeire wrote:If you don't agree with it don't watch the fight.
