For one, my names up there can at least spell it correctly. Two - I'm not making constant contradictions to put myself in a different light. The guy a while back was being obnoxous and a stand-up working class because he was obv a middle-class prat. Coming from a working class background and Irish we say how we feel to someone's face not behind their back to get internet hits. I genuinely would've loved him to come down and say it to my face because I know he wouldn't have the ball. Not because I wanted to fight him, because he simply wouldn't be man enough and was bullshitting about yeah I'ld say it to him at the pub yada yada

In Larry's case, he's obv trying to act the hard man[/quote]

Why you being a prick mate? Thought we had put this to bed? How do you know if I'm middle class?

I'm not going to be getting involved in this argument again, the guy's brother and me had a great convo. But, when I have been perfectly pleasant since to start another big post insulting me is pathetic

And what I said about the pub is something on the lines of I would buy him a drink if he got the tile, he could tell me to fornicate off if he wanted...don't misquote me

All respect to Shane for stepping into the ring ( I refuse to postcript any article with that, it's a gimme0 but i think Shane has more in his locker.

And if he wants to win that title, invite me to the pub and tell me to feck off he is welcome! :TU:

Did I bring it up? no. It was in the past

This whole thing's boring me. Larry's a cheat lets talk about actual boxing that's actually happening

I agree Larry is a cheat :)

Just please don't misquote me. I would never say anything like 'I would say it to his face' as that is totally disrespectful, when in fact all journos do is write an opinion. I have had a few people who have been upset in the last decade and we have chatted it out and in the end, 99% of the time it's perfectly pleasant, if you explain your point in a good manner you may not always agree, but there is respect. That is not the same as me playing the hard man and going up to fighters giving them mouth to prove my bottle.

Anyway, back to Larry and PED's

Does anyone think PED's should all be made legal so everyone is on a level playing field? (I personally don't but have heard the view a lot recently)

Some people on here are coming across as right nobs - and ironically Larry isn't one of them !

Just do a quick search for threads involving Larry prior to this coming out - almost without exception everyone was kissing his arse telling him how great he was.

Now all of a sudden he is scum and a c*nt - strange how things change (I don't know if the same people making comments here are the one's kissing arse previously - I can't be bothered to check).

Larry, is it true that you tried to avoid paying the price for your cheating by attempting to apply for a Luxemburg licence? I read that you did and that made me feel that you weren't at all remorseful for your years of cheating.

If he really weren't arsed about his PED use he could have gone to the States and joined one of the very top gyms there....

Thankyou to Larry for being honest, yes he did wrong but at least he's making up for it now as it's never too late.

Adams is a cheat and a big liar and deserves the same ban as Larry, maybe more for coming out with that Lempsip BS.

I hope his Promoter Steve Goodwin comes out and dissociates himself from Ali Adams immediately or else he will look as guilty as Adams has been of knowingly taken Steroids after what Larry has informed us of.

Once again well done to Larry for cleaning up the sport of boxing one boxer at a time, you went massively down in my estimation when you were caught doing steroids during your time in boxing but are now on the road to doing something positive for boxing so i can only show you respect for that.

Dan; because you know how to fight better than the average man doesn't make every point of view you have the right one + when you throw around challenges like that you may pull the joker in the pack - someoe who lives close by and likes a scrap and is good at it; you can't tell who's who from how they type.

I'm not sure how Larry is acting the hard man - someone he's not met has called him 'scum' - that's not nice and is bound to have some sort of reaction. If someone called you 'scum' would you invite them to the pub for a discussion? (Sorry for mistyping your name).

A Luxembourg license would be a way forward and a way to keep working when banned.
I doubt there would be a problem in getting one once the dust has settled. They have stated they don't see the need for drug testing at the Upton Park show.
I'm sure Luxembourg would license him if Larry was needed for a FW show.
I would not surprise me if a slot was available on Saturday night, esp if there was a couple of drop outs.

ok, we can all do what the hell we want with no consequences at all.....where would we be if we all had that attitude....sorry Larry, I'm with the majority in that drug cheats should be banned for life

Larry, the length of your ban was disproportionate compared to length other british boxers have been suspened for the same offence so maybe you should serve a self imposed 12 month ban and then re-apply for a Luxenberg Licence once the 12 months is up and carry on with your boxing career overseas maybe even in California as that way you can also explore acting roles too.

I feel you shouldn't have got more then a 12 month ban because you were 100% honest about your steroid use throughout your career and have also helped let people know about other cheaters in the sport.

Maybe base yourself in california and train at the Wildcard gym, get yourself a good acting agent and i'm sure you'd get plenty of fights and acting roles out there.

There ought be consequence and the consequence should not be decided by roulette wheel; if one's banned for life then so is the next one; no favourites, no bullshit excuses, no big money favours - all treat the same. Then, it's a deterent, in a short time the news will filter through that boxing in the UK is PED free and you use at your peril; until then it's a rigged lottery with some boxers having some advantages.

I would just like to retract what I said abot Ali Adams. I have no idea what his situation is and was wrong to comment on it. As far as I know Ali Adams is telling the truth and DID NOT knowingly take peds. I apologise to Ali Adams for the satements I made and hope that he is found innocent of the charges.

You know what, this thread just shows how many keyboard warriors and internet dickheads there really are. Larry has been a great contributor to this forum and has always come across as a gent. For that I respect him, as you can tell he's actually a decent guy and can actually construct a proper sentence, unlike some of the people abusing him on here.

He's done wrong and he's been punished, the people who start getting abusive and reeling out the expletives just need to get a life. 4 years is very long and totally disproportionate to anything I've seen before, I think if this was a big name boxer with better financial backing then the ban would have been 6-12 months, maybe 2 years at a big push.
