Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.

Christ, will this program on Klitschko on HBO ever end? Almost an hour...yawn...
Vitali struggled with Chisora more than anybody since Lewis. I watched the fight, so eff off. He couldn't get him out of there, and Chisora hit Vitali plenty. If Chisora had more of a dig then it would have been closer. Vitali has SMASHED everybody else, apart from Kevin Johnson. But Johnson did not want to fight at all. Chisora took it to Vitali. Haye's performance against Chisora earns him a shot.Rover wrote:If Vitali "struggled" with Chisora, I'd like to see a close fight. Vitali comprehensively won.
Haye has no interest as an opponent for Vitali from me. He couldn't beat China-chinned Wlad, and the only chance he had there was a puncher's chance.
So now he'll beat Vitali, who has a better chin?
Let Haye fight Fury, who beat Chisora before Haye did.
I think you are in the minority of people who remember sh!t talk that isn't really memorable if this is the case. Idk wtf this specific guy said cuz idc, but even when I do care I don't REALLY care about sh!t talking except if its funny to me. This probably isn't much different from what wrestling does to get asses in seats. Everyone isn't a masterful sh!t talker, but you gotta say some simple I'm gonna KO this pos at least to attempt to sell it. Actually a better comparison maybe getting a out of your league drunk chick to f#ck you with bs stories at 2am at a club. She might be like wtf that dude is a liar, but next time she's drunk & its 2am & your talking theres a good chance your hitting it again.Blodhemn wrote:Miranda's hype talk isn't funny and if you promise big things and don't deliver, that hurts the sport to a degree. If you hype the fight and quit, well, I can't think of a worse outcome really. Hype without substance is for short term business and it blows.ReggieDiggs wrote:As boxing fans we should know better by now to get caught up in the pre fight sh!t talking. I take it all with a grain of salt these days as I know its largely a meaningless activity to get more people watching the fight more then anything they actually believe honestly, but some guys who sh!t talk well are funny as hell imho & I don't really care if their prefight talk matches up with their fight strat.Blodhemn wrote:Stop shit talking for pre fights if you've got no balls in the ring.
Did you see the Sanders fight? That was more of a struggle for Vitali; he even got badly staggered. To me, Haye's performance against Chisora would earn him a fight with Fury, who actually did struggle with Chisora. Chisora has done better than any of Vitali's "second-career" opponents, but that consists of having won a couple of rounds.clopixolacuphase wrote:Vitali struggled with Chisora more than anybody since Lewis. I didn't say he'd beat Vitali. I think Vitali stops Haye, but I think it'll be a fun fight. Haye is not a super heavyweight and is too small, but he is NOT a bum. He is annoying and talks too much, but he can fight and will provide more of a challenge and MUCH more G's than pathetic opponents like Charr.
I've been campaigning for Haye Fury for a while now. I'm with you all the way, dude. You are preaching to the converted.
Yeah dude, I've watched the Sanders fight and Sanders had Vitali in trouble, very briefly. Then he got KO'd. That's a different Vitali anyway. I'm a Haye fan I concede, so that makes me want to see the fight. I totally agree that Haye should fight Fury and I've posted on this in the past few days. I think he should fight Fury and THEN call out Vitali, should he win (which I think he will, by KO). Either Vitali retires, or he fights Haye. There is nobody else left worth bothering with. Haye brings so much more than anybody else. I could give a sh*t about seeing Vit fight anybody else in the top ten. I'm pretty much agreeing with you. But in terms of a super fight, Haye-Vitali is the closest we're going to get. Are you saying that Vitali should retire, because there is nobody else out there for him. That's why he's fighting guys like Charr in the first place.Rover wrote:Did you see the Sanders fight? That was more of a struggle for Vitali; he even got badly staggered. I agree OK? But Haye-Chisora was the best heavyweight fight in a long time. Anyway, my eyes are heavy. I'll try and catch Dawson-Ward somehow in the morning without finding out the result in the meantime.Rover wrote:Haye and Chisora have already had shots and lost decisively. I agree that Haye-Fury would be a good fight, to determine the best HW in the U.K. But I don't think that's what will happen, because of money considerations. If Vitali sticks around, I wouldn't be surprised to see Haye-Vitali next.Rover wrote:Haye and Chisora have already had shots and lost decisively. Just me that preferred Huck v Povetkin?clopixolacuphase wrote:I agree OK? But Haye-Chisora was the best heavyweight fight in a long time. Anyway, my eyes are heavy. Enjoy the rest of the nights fights, Rover. I'm out.
I hope he wins. Not because I particularly dislike him, but it would clear some space in the division a bit. Either Haye, Wlad or Adamek would beat Povetkin, IMO, and he'd wind up looking like a pussy even more if he refused to fight any of them. Because there wouldn't be this consensus of "There can't be unity in the division anyway, two of the champs are brothers". People would expect a complete unification more than before, I think.Rover wrote:He's running for political office in Ukraine. The election's coming up. He's said he's retiring if he wins, I believe.
Povetkin won't fight Wlad. I can't recall a more blatant case of ducking. I'd be more expectful of Huck to fight Wlad. Christ, I hope Rahman wins--not because I want to see Rahman-Wlad II, but because I detest Povetkin.Bobbyptsd wrote:I hope he wins. Huck-Povetkin was by far the best high level HW fight in a while. I don't think that Haye-Chisora was remotely exciting; Del Boy just plodded around the ring doing little while Haye picked him off, and there few, if any, good exchanges or momentum shifts.iamasadlittleboy wrote:Just me that preferred Huck v Povetkin?clopixolacuphase wrote:I agree OK? Agreed on Huck/Povetkin. Too bad the wrong guy got the decision.crusader wrote:Huck-Povetkin was by far the best high level HW fight in a while. I don't think that Haye-Chisora was remotely exciting; Del Boy just plodded around the ring doing little while Haye picked him off.iamasadlittleboy wrote:

Yeah, but I don't think he'll fight Haye or Adamek either, and at that point, it'll become a little too obvious. And if he does fight either of those guys he'll lose IMO, which is a good thing.Rover wrote:Povetkin won't fight Wlad. I can't recall a more blatant case of ducking. are you kidding me? Bradley was a very accomplished pro who faced many top fighters before PacSonny Fiston wrote:This is the equivalent of Klit asking fans to purchase tickets to watch him hit a heavy bag.
This is more shameful than the Bradley-Pacquiao fight.
