Think he was banking on being able to put on a rematch. Doubt there's much appetite for that now. Burns needs to be looking to Vazquez and Broner, but they will cost big money to lure to the UK. Would be great to see Ricky in a big Vegas fight.

I think he could have made it out of the round, not taking anything away from Burns though.
I thought it was badly timed, but then I could see the clock and the ref couldn't.
Recorded the fight and just watched it. I thought the ref did well to stop it, Burns came in and threw some bombs, Mitchell widely swung and missed twice and then Burns was all over him landing unanswered punches. Two missed punches isn't still throwing.

Everyone is spot on, Burns looked massive at the weight and Mitchell looked tiny in comparison almost like it was a miss match in weights. How Mitchell stays focused as there is plenty of fights there for him and as someone says a move to SFW wouldn't be out of the question should he still be able to make the weight. Mitchell vs. Murray 2 would be epic.

It's gonna be very hard for Warren to resist putting Harrison in there.
I hope you're wrong. It's way too soon.

I can hope for John Murray though.
I don't think Murray should get a shot either.

He's coming off two very bad knockout defeats.... Burns would destroy him.

Every chance but I think he was banking on Mitchell beating Ricky. Warren praised burns through gritted teeth and could hardly look at him. IMO Burns should get as far away from him as possible. I know they are all sharks but Franks reaction was out of order.

I just watched it again. Ricky was better in every respect. He can really get to the top at this weight. I think he will beat that sloppy hype job Broner.

Ricky must also be up there with the classiest, articulate world champions in boxing. He is an absolute credit to the sport. Here's hoping he makes millions. As others have said Mitchell is also a great sportsman, took it incredibly well.
