If I was a Fury backer I'd probably have a nibble at that 3/1 as I think the odds are slightly wrong and that should be shorter.

I don't gamble but I'd be very surpised if the odds on a Fury win don't shorten to 2/1, Evens, or maybe even shorter still at some point when the fight is actually made and he starts talking it up in earnest. Price is probably never going to be more of a favourite than now. So why not put £x on Fury to win now at 3/1 and then use Betfair to lay Fury (oo er) if/when his odds shorten up.
e.g. stake £100 at 3/1 on Fury to win at Skybet now; and take £100 in bets at 2/1 (or shorter) on Betfair
if the odds on a Fury win shorten up, which I think they will.
Possible outcomes: Fury wins you get your £100 stake plus £300 win from Skybet = £400 (£300 gross profit); you pay out £200 on Betfair (£200 gross loss); for a £100 net profit.
Fury loses you lose your £100 stake with Skybet (£100 gross loss); you make £100 on Betfair (less a fee, is it 5%?); for a £5? net loss and you'll be buzzing that Price has won.
You could of course also put £x on Pricey to win - when his odds lengthen out a bit - and unless it's a draw you're guaranteed to make money (on the proviso that Fury's odds do in fact shorten).

Makes sense, Macho, and thanks for actually making light of the Betfair system (didn't have a sausage meself), but I personally can't bet against my fighter in a bout. I can't take any satisfaction from the opposition winning. Same goes with betting for Man Utd.

Fury has fought marginally better opposition, is awkward, durable, has fast strong hands, good footwork (when he concentrates) and has relatively good power, he has a developing jab and is still developing, he was put down by that Canadian but that had more to do with bad foot placement i think, he didn't really look in trouble.Fury will need to be on top of his came mentally and physically but i think he takes Price in the mid to later rounds. I f Price doesn't take Fury out in the first 3 i don't think he will.

...... because Fury's gonna knock him out.
Price hasn't even fought anyone who looked like they were trying to win the fight. Watch what happens when he starts getting hit hard and often and when Fury starts outjabbing him. It'll be t-i-m-b-e-r.

Anyone think this fight will happen anytime soon?
In boxing news both men seem to want it but then Hennessy pipes up and starts giving reasons as to why it might not take place ( I won't do a 50-50 split, Price wants it at Anfield, Fury would be ok with this providing deal is right, if not, Fury wants it at Old Trafford or Croke Park etc )
The most shocking thing about the bits in Boxing news is the idea that these two could fill a large football stadium!!! Croke Park would be ridiculous! Price is still operating at domestic level and Fury has yet to reach world level himself. Both some way off being able to fill such venues.
