I’m sure they love you as well mate, they’d die for you to I reckon – if it came to it like! Just keep shelling out for them because if you were down and out I’m sure they’d let you shuffle your way into a spare room at Buck Palace until you got yourself sorted. ;)

Sir Derek Chisora thanked the Queen by spitting water in her face and slapping Price Charles. :TU:

Totally agree.

God save the queen?? What an absolute joke. Those people (the Windsors) wouldn't even piss on us common people. And for good measure we part finance their privileged lifestyles.

I honestly dont understand why we don't yet live in a republic.

Excuse me, but I have served shoulder to shoulder with members of the Royal Family, they piss and bleed just like you and me. So button it. GSTQ.
Well then, doesn't that just justify their subsidised lifestyle of privilege...

Hmm. I don't reckon you're old enough to have been on Invincible or Brazen with him, so I'm thinking Cottesmore, right?

Cheeky tw@t! I'm 50 and served in the Falklands War on HMS Glasgow, and I served with Prince Andrew on HMS Campbeltown too.

Honoured boxers?

Post by peter1948 »

They took their time to give Terry Spinks & Terry Downes their medal honours. John Conteh & Alan Minter who both won professional world titles have never been honoured WHY?

Why should they?

Why should any of them?

Why hasn't my neighbour who is a midwife not got a knighthood? She has delivered thousands
of lives safely into this world. She has done more for society than either of those people you mentioned.

Minter, Conteh and even the likes of Henry Cooper had fame, fortune, adulation - is that not enough?

If it was up to me - knighthoods would be for ordinary people who get none of the above, not for captains of industry, military commanders, politicians and sportspeople.

Absolutley not - life has rewarded their efforts enough. Same goes for every singer, actor, politician, captain of industry - the usual suspects. The least deserving get the most reward.
