That was my thoughts as well, he supposadly tested pos. for valium and an appetite suppresant, hardly Lance Armstrong level any how, but if he tested posative for a banned substance
four days before the bout, then why hasn't it come to light until now, two days
after this fiasco has turned into a shit fight? I guess probably because this "tested posative for a banned drug" is a throw off for the real situation.
If this promtion/management team isn't legally prohibited from and run out of boxing then I call on all boxing fans that frequent
BoxRec to boycott watching or attending any Khoder Nasser promotions in the future, and call on all fighters frequenting
BoxRec to say
no to fighting on these dodgy promoyions.
I know several boxers that have foght on these shows and
all are left with bitter tastes in their mouths.

Yeah it stinks from the start i reckon this con man is just throwing it out there about the positive drug test just to murky up the waters so they can get off this. Too late the whole things been exposed.

One of the drugs found in Botha's sample was Valium. A tranquiliser would hardly improve a boxer's speed and aggression.

Botha was apparently tested by a member of Nasser's family.
SBW was not tested at all.
Say's it all really.
I wish there was a way Nasser could be banned from the sport we love, in the mean time, try and encourage SBW on twitter to move away from that scum bag. I know I have been.

People who know better say doctor who tested Frans was not even in the same ethnic group as Nasser.
Frans has form for drugs. His win over Axel Schulz for the IBF title in 1995 was overturned when Frans tested positive to steroids.
Murkier and murkier.

You aren't adding anything to the topic at hand with comments like this. Keep your beef's out of forum topics and in PM's.

two issues here, Drug issue, which may or not be a furphy.
And changing the conditions of the fight even on the day of the fight.
I think Nasser will have trouble getting people onside because of the way he handled the change of conditions. totally amateurish. Not worthy of a PPV which should be reserved for special proffesionall run cards.

This card should never have been PPV anyway.

But as we know you dont have to be the same ethnicity to be a family member. did the same people say they offered 150K to botha ? Wasnt Botha's positive test against Schultz for pot (legit question, not a statement) ? Too many of the same questions surrounding the promoter and the state !!Whats the ANBF's stance on this and will they be conducting a thorough investigation into this? If so to what extent ?Alot of people passing the buck !

Nope, nandrolone.

Botha tested positive to Nandralone, an anabolic steroid used by bodybuilders for short term gains in muscle bulk.
Tyson had a disqualification for using marijuana when he fought Golota.

True. But it might have sold better than we think? Would be interesting to know what sort of figures it did?

Any word on the gross? The card seemed awash with mismatches.

WBA's pressy has now confirmed banned substance was Coolabah Fruity Lexia. Probably dirty 'cos he didn't score sanction $$$$$

I'm not entirely convinced he got offered the fall money in the first place. Williams was beating him easily til he ran out of gas, I made a good profit on the fight and would bet more on a re-match. Seeing that grainy iPhone footage of Botha wining every night on one news is p1ssing me off, it's just a shame it's the only boxing news I've seen on the t.v for along time.
