Thought Carl looked disorganised in retreat, to be fair, Martinez did cut off the ring well, but against slicker opertors, he's going to use his feet a lot better.

I had Carl Frampton up 77-75 going into the 9th round and was on the verge of him giving the 9th round before he landed that well timed short right hand that ended the fight. He showed very good footwork and used the ring well to make get himself out of trouble although they were a couple of times he was on the ropes a little bit too long for my liking but he also showed good upper body movement to reduce the effect or avoid some of Kiko Martinez's punches and showed good stamina and workrate as well.

I'm glad Frampton didn't leg it around the ring for the whole fight, it was important to show a degree of grit and strength at times.

I know we're not talking about the Donaire's of this world yet but I'm pretty sure if Martinez tried to pressure the Filipino like that he'd get torn a new one very quickly indeed.

Conlan stops Robinson in the 10th with a bodyshot. Had him down a couple of times prior but Robinson still made a decent fight out of it.

If he had, he would have lost, he absolutely had to stop Martinez in his tracks to get his respect, and break his rhythmn. Once he did so, the end came quite quick. You're not beating Martinez by running, you have to put some spite into your work.

77-76 Martinez

Had it 77-76 Frampton. But could imagine the score being reversed. Thought the commentary was not picking up some of Martinez’s work.

Amazing finish. Has Martinez been stopped like that before? I don’t think so…

Jim Watt is great. I much prefer older people doing the commentary. Jim’s always been top notch.

If that’s true then it’s really, very, very, impressive.

Frampton was overwhelmed at times but that’s what he needs at this point in his career.
