Round 4 = Munoz comes in firing and is doing well early. SC lands behind Munoz left ear hard. Munoz is one live dog but the bodywork is really hurting him now. He is just being beaten down now. SC warned for going low. Munoz should have gone down. He is in deep trouble but survives. If I am in his corner I throw it in.

40-35 Santa Cruz.

Round 5 = Munoz comes out gamefiring hard body shots but Santa Cruz takes it but. His corner are a . . . good, it is over.

I am still not sold on Santa Cruz. This was a mismatch, as it turns out. In his last fight, SC looked very vulnerable against a decent boxer.

Two mismatch fights in a row, except in the 1st fight Rosado actually over achieved and won the fight in me and many in crowds mind so tactic 2 had to employed against Rosado "the scorecard"
Fight one blown up junior middle(Rosado) coming off of tough stoppage against legit middleweight love.
second fight 34 year old smaller fighter coming out against Santa Cruz buzz saw..

Santa Cruz is such a positive spirit. Gotta love this kid. He needs to tighten up his defense. The uppercut is there all day.

In all fairness, this doesn't show that much. Munoz has accomplished nothing of note at this weight and hasn't won a meaningful fight in several years.

If Rosado is a 154 pounder vs Love then he was even more so vs The Anointed One.

I agree that SC vs Munoz was a mismatch but we knew that going in. Munoz made a spirited effort of it.

The "anointed one"(Golovokin) has proven nothing yet either except that he is better than love at this point

How much has Santa Cruz accomplished at this weight?

Munoz is a tough customer. Never been stopped. I love Santa Cruz's style and that post fight interview did it for me.
Santa Cruz hasn't, either, but Munoz also hadn't accomplished anything of note at bantam. He hasn't won a meaningful fight in years.
I have no doubt Santa Cruz will step up big in terms of comp at this weight this year.

Eh, Rosado-GGG was made at 158 catchweight and Rosado's ppl called GGG's team a week or two before the fight to make it a full 160 lbs fight. I doubt Rosado makes 154 easily anymore, he's a middleweight. What was the deal with Love's 161 weighin though?

I found it interesting that quite a few people think this fight will be boring. I cannot see it going that way.

Pretty close to the same size fight night.

PDL must go for KO. He will not be able to outpoint Mares, unless he knocks him down like six times.

It could be boring due to an ugly style clash. I'm kind of expecting it.

Well why mention that Munoz hasn't accomplished anything of note at this weight...

Munoz has proven to be a solid guy and able to compete at the top level. He did quite well in the Mijares bout. But whatever.
He clearly lost the Mijares bout two weight classes south and almost five years ago. There's a reason he was LSC's sirst fight at this weight.

Thought Ponce de Leon landed the better punches. Mares more active towards the end, so the judges will give it to him.

Round 1 = Mares comes out moving and boxing. Good round. Can't see much difference. Mares boxing well but got caught hard with the left twice.
