Im not a huge fan of his MC'ing style but I certainly wasnt criticising his character as a man. Going on what you've said, he sounds like a top guy

You wouldn't mind but you'd think it'd jog his memory when Paul had bis surname on his shorts.

I don't see what my state of inebriation has to do with anything. Sober or wrecked, the intro's in the fight were a cock up from start to finish.
I'm not disputing the fact that beneath the growling lies a decent bloke, but as a half wit who pays good money to SKY to watch their programs, I feel entitled to criticise a performance like that.
Forgetting to introduce Dodson is to some extent explainable, but the substitution of Smith with an indecipherable growl is just not cricket.

OH CHRIST NOT DRUGS
1. Using the 'he was on drugs, m'lord' defence doesn't work if everybody else saw exactly the same thing happen
2. Bifter is not LSD
3. I take it back. This is what forcefraser turned into that terrible night:

He's always rubbish. I don't care if he apologises they should get someone better.
Horse, would you do the job at a show if I sorted it out for you to have a go?
I would!!!

I agree, replacing somebodies surname with a sound that a vomiting 14 year old makes after too much cider is not a random mistake, a mistake is mispronunciation or something.

He must have done it on purpose. What other explanation can there be?
I have watched it dozens of times now. It`s brilliant.

My 9 year old daughter has no clue about boxing for obvious reasons, but after showing her the growl and explaining what he should have said instead, she loves it.
Last night as I was walking past her room, I heard the growl being repeatedly replayed, follwed by solid giggling. It`s nice to see the youth of today taking an interest in boxing, regardless of the reasons behind it.

I've always liked John mcDonald. When he gets it right it sounds great, and he looks the part of an MC. He's not perfect however
