The way Groves is talking about Jamie Cox as an easy opponent and about retiring makes me think he's taking the preparation for his next fight too lightly.

I can see Cox doing better then people expect and maybe just do enough to take that title away from Groves.

Cox has potential for sure. A lot of natural gifts. If someone teaches him a bit of head and body movement so he isn't as easy to hit, he could go a lot further. But as it stands now, I'm sure he gets out pointed or knocked out at the top level. Probably by Groves and soon

I can see where you're coming from. Cox doesn't look like a world beater right now in any sense of the word. Raw potential definitely.

Groves is always hit and miss with me since his Froch fights, he can either be the great boxer who beat Degale and did it well, or the one who got cocky at the world level and was made to regret it multiple times. Now that he finally has a world title, I just wonder how strong his desire is to hold onto it now that the chase is over.

Yea it is a concern that George forgets his boxing (as often happens) and gets into a war with Cox. But as for George and his desire, well he chose Cox, and I guess that says something?
I'm really looking forward to the fight! I think it could be the highlight of the SMW side of the series, can't wait!!

Based on what they've actually shown in pro fights, Groves could have an off night and still beat Cox handily; I don't think it's clear that Cox would even beat David Brophy.

Maybe Cox will up his game now that he's fighting at top level, and he'll need to....

Yeah I guess he must be confident if he did choose to fight him first but over confident is a strong possibility too but we shall see come fight night who prepared right for it.
It is going to be a great fight definitely and easily the best of the quarter finals I couldn't agree with you more there. The Brahmer/Brant fight might surprise a few people though, very little hype behind it so it could really be one where there aren't any real expectations or pressure so both just let their hands go and put on a real show.
