Vitali struggled against Chisora. I had Dereck possibly winning 5 rounds in that fight.
I had it 8-4, he gave a good account of himself and it was one of Vitali's tougher nights.

I think Wlad would stop him tho.

Noone's disputing that, but starting to get up at 9 in the other boxer's hometown is seriously playing with fire in this dodgy sport
It don't make it right mate. He was robbed, simple as that. Dunno why the yanks come over here.

Fighting here is like fighting in Italy in the early 90's.
Absolutely. Perhaps referees should be paid for by someone other than the promoter (BBBC?); I would not suggest that they're being told what to do as such, but they certainly know what result the promoter (who's paying them) would prefer and this probably has a subconscious effect on what they decide in the heat of the moment.

Let's be honest if it was Derek getting up at 9 it's doubtful it would have ben stopped. Strange move by Scott seeing as he wasn't really hurt and was away from home, but even so we've all see refs let fighters who were far more hurt than Scott get up at 9.

Vitali was injured mate. If he wasn't he would barely have lost a round.

If your getting up at 9 you need to make it very clear to the ref your ok, Malik didn't seem to give a sh1t either. Betting aside I've got no problem with the stoppage and Scott only as himself to blame. You start rising at 9 and your on thin ice.

Oh did anyone see Buncey defying the space/time continuum by swearing blind the replay was in slow motion until Jim told him for the 10th time it was in real time.

Wouldn't you be if you'd been told you couldn't box against some top 50 Super-flyweight.

I thought he was up in time but no sympathy for him. You don't get up on 9 when you're fighting the home fighter. There's been some real dodgy stuff the last couple of years with British referees. We're not as bad as Germany but slowly getting there!

British stoppages are becoming more and more ridiculous. And the commentators always try to justify them. What a joke.

Bunce is such a tool, he should think before he speaks.

You got til the count of 10 to get up. He was up at 10. These are the rules of boxing.

Can someone summarise the Chisora and Scott post fight interview because I missed it? Any mention on when Chisora will be out next?

Problem is bigger than just this one fight and it will stop major fighters from coming here. We'll be lucky if Burns, Froch or Haye gets a major international opponent over here if this continues.

Back on the fight itself, Scott looked decent but he's not big enough to make his style work in the current HW division.

Scott said he had one whole second left but didn't seem particularly bothered and hoped FrankW would have him over again and Derrick bigged up allegedly.
FrankW did not mention the missing second strangely

Scott didn't really seem that arsed about it tbh, admitted Chisora won it "fair and square," suggested a rematch.

Naturally, "it is what it is."

was a shame, he got up before 10.
in england theres that stuped 8 count where referres think the last 2 seconds go to them.

truth is malik got up at 9.5 (like thompson did vs price)

he should have got up at 8. im surprised he let his 0 go easily, he was winning and a win would have put him there with Vladimir.

hope he come back as he is very skillful.

the referee was a tosser though and never took his eyes of scott

C'mon Terry O'Connor - give us another strange stoppage as you usually do. I just wish Idiot John Lewis was the ref as he always stops fights when someone gets hit in a fight....
