Intimidating and non-intimidating boxers

I remember when the Calzaghe-Mikkel Kessler fight was announced I found Kessler quite scary with his tattoos but when I watched an interview I could not think what a gentleman he is.

Kessler's sister is more intimidating that anyone else mentioned on this topic.

Yes, I can imagine her giving a withering look that would take away any enthusiam.

George Groves does not look very intimidating. Would never guess he was a fighter otherwise.

Kevin Lueshing didn't look all that tough, neither did Chris Saunders; Henry Wharton just looked solid and Peter Culshaw looked like he was skiving off scouts.

I remember seeing a picture of Tony Zale after knocking out Graziano, and he looked mean. Not sure this is the one, but its in his eyes, even when he's smiling he looked tough.

Good call; I saw some footage of Zale on the speed bag and he hit that hard with both hands to keep rythm, no little taps at all; a very hard man.

Yes, Chris must have had some real steel fronting out and then boxing the bigger, stronger men - it must have been awful looking up at someone on the scales thinking, 'he'll be punching me in the head tomorrow night'. Respect
