I have a feeling a close Canelo-Mayweather fight will end in a draw, meaning a huge rematch payday for everyone; and both remain undefeated..........

If you think Canelo is going to win, that's fair enough (I hope he does win). We're all just guessing at the end of the day. But don't spout nonsense to help your argument. The speed factor will be nowhere near even.desperados wrote:Canelo ain't slow. And Floyd will be wearing the big boys gloves; it;s gonna be even on speed, both landing right crosses. Floyds is Powderpuff though, Canelo's makes guys the size of Trout do the Bambi.ArtOfWar wrote:Mayweather does what Mayweather does. Canelo is to slow and basic to win.
I think Garcia will win as well. People seem to be creaming in their pants over Matthyse after the Peterson fight, but anyone who's seen more of him knows there are plenty of holes in his game. In fact he's quite basic and a bit crude. Garcia is very compact and well schooled and his timing is top notch. His timing makes up for his lack of speed.
An educated guess but i agree.ArtOfWar wrote: We're all just guessing at the end of the day. But don't spout nonsense to help your argument. The speed factor will be nowhere near even.

I will take that !jessi wrote:I think Floyd will make Canelo look like a little boy lost after a rough and tumble first 2 or 3 rounds.
I think Garcia (the underdog) will box clever and scrape a close points victory.

Go and look at Desperado's predictions in this thread haha.jessi wrote:Well donecolumbo wrote:I think Floyd will beat Canelo fairly comfortably on points but the rounds will be quite close. I see Garcia pulling off the upset.
No knock down but right verdictssmoothmoves wrote:I've not fallen for the hype this time, Floyd wins 118-110. Garcia to squeak a decision, but not before getting up off the deck early on.
(Could be wrong, I usually am)
Good picks mate. If im wrong then im wrong, fair enough. The Garcia vs Matthysse one was a tough one to call to be honest but I just felt he was underrated to a large degree. Garcia that is obviously.jessi wrote:I will take that !jessi wrote:I think Floyd will make Canelo look like a little boy lost after a rough and tumble first 2 or 3 rounds.

Not quite fight of the year but well doneMightyWarrior wrote:Floyd pulls away for a points win after an uncomfortable first few rounds.
Garcia gets off the canvas to tough out a points win in the fight of the year.
L.C wrote:Floyd to win in an unexciting fight. First few rounds will go to Canelo, then Floyd will work out how to land more and take less. He'll be comfortably ahead by the end of the 10th, and relax a little in the last two leaving Alvarez to maybe take them on activity. 7-5 in rounds, Scorecards may be close, but it'll be quite clear who the winner is.
Garcia to beat Matthysse by close decision. Garcia has a decent chin, he can box clever and avoid the big shots from Lucas. I think he might take a knee early, but I doubt he'll be in any real trouble during the fight.
I don't think it'll be a FOTY candidate, though I'd love it to be. I can see Garcia fighting on the back foot.

3 good callsDMA1987 wrote:Garcia wins a close decision. He will have to ride out several storms during the fight. Many might think Matthyse won.
Floyd will give Canelo a lesson. It won't be pretty for the Mexican and I can see Floyd making him look stupid.
Galahad will show he levels above the good quality dickens.
