The only thing with the 28th December is Peter Pan, The Never Ending Story is on the following two nights. I don't know the first thing about musicals but I suspect there will be quite a lot of set material and rigging. Would an 15-18 hour turnaround be enough to get all that prepared?

7 weeks is fine, Haye will be able to continue to train minus sparring and he'll be able to spar in 2-3 weeks, so I don't see a problem, 28th December isn't really possible with it being so close to Christmas and new year.

9th November seems like it could be a little too soon to be honest. I reckon he'll need a month for the cut to heal and another month to make up for sparring he's missed out on whilst the cut is healing to keep him sharp come fight night.

You really think he'll be able to start sparring in 2 to 3 weeks?! That looked a pretty nasty cut to me and that doesnt seem like sufficient time to heal properly.

The stitches will be out in a week and another week or 2 afterwards should be fine for it to heal.

I'm mystified why anyone would give Haye stick for getting such a nasty cut - like he actually wanted this to happen ? I'm gutted like everyone but I bet none of us are as gutted as him and Tyson are.

I know for a fact David Haye was wearing a head guard (just like Andre Ward did before he got sliced open before original Super Six final) and it happens accidentally. Often you don't know you have been sliced until they wipe your face down.

No way he needs that long. Stitches out in a week. Stay sharp in mean time plenty of roadwork and pad work then step the sparring up in a fortnight or so. 6 weeks is more than feasible to fight

Fury will probably have to fight between now and Christmas if November can't be done, so that will push the fight back even further, possibly later than January.

Mick H has a CH5 date in October, I wouldn't be surprised to see Fury/Wilder appearing on that.

Peter Fury is saying they are moving on and the Haye fight will now not happen. Hopefully that's him just venting - or a BS story - but he doesn't strike me as the type of guy who will spout and then retract.

I was really looking forward to this one, although the build up was nowhere near as exciting as I expected it to be before the fight was signed.

All concerned are bound to frustrated right now. I remember how I used to get when fights were called off, you're all ready and in the zone and then BOOM! Crash! Anger! When there are millions at stake those feelings must be magnified significantly. So hopefully the talk coming out now is just a bit of understandable rashness.

The sensible thing to do is chill out. Accept that the fight isn't happening next week, and work towards scheduling a new date in due course. It's surely too big an event to pass up.

I geniunely fail to see how sparring in preparation for a professional fight can be classed as unprofessional. It's unfortunate but it happens. He's not the first boxer to ever get cut in sparring.
