Thanks for replying my question billy I didn't reply because your answer didn't require it. I have massive respect for what you stand for & that's pride & belief & no wonder you've got the best out of ricky.
But when you see greats like mayweather making sure the odds are stacked in there favour & fooling & deceiving fight peoples intelligence to bank roll fights which are massively in his favour.
If burns can get a Derry as a voluntry you can get out again pretty quickly!
Not what you want to be involved in I know but it's a buisness & get what you can while you can got your man

In fairness Derry has proven time and time again he would fight anyone!! He's a true warrior and not many fighters can say that.. Commney looks like a very exciting prospect but a clean shot from Derry would knock him out so this fight isn't as clean cut as Billy may think. You guys are flavour of the month if you talked about him fighting Ricky in 6 months his opinion would be different and we would hear how Commney got schooled by Ricky in sparring and it was a mismatch. I take what he says with a punch of salt... 100% this is a 50/50 fight whoever gets his bombs off first will win. I'm a fan of both for different reasons and would love to see this fight... In saying that I would rather see Mitchell v Mathews and maybe Commney v Crolla

Well from we're I'm sitting he's going to be the busiest titleist in the Uk, he's fighting Ormand, Gethins,marselli and commnety in the next few months something's got to give hasn't it, I can see Richard fighting Tommy Coyle Afterall he did do well against Derry before losing concentration

Billy you forgot to mention the place was half empty maybe it was half full can't make my mind up inside ring seat half empty £40 seats 90% empty £30 seats that give you a sore arse half empty show started at 8 with highland dancers that was the best part of the night I was out the building for 9.45 show over very poor night of boxing to be honest and to put on a exhibition is a disgrace to the fans and the boxer that couldn't get opponent most likely down to poor ticket sales and could not pay someone to come up so put a exhibition on tell the boxer the guy pulled out give him a few ££ bring in a cheap sparring partner PG and TG save face telling a few lies promise next time son we will get you a shot of a title lies lies Look what TG done to Gary McArthur he sold out the place in Clydebank a good few times lost in Prize fighter and got dropped Davie Savage another good ticket seller has never got a sniff at Commonwealth or British title and only reason K Hughes got a shot at CW is because it was short notice Mitch Prince 7 years as a pro has a couple of dummy title fights on TG dinner shows over the years then gets a shot a the CW Title has real go expected to be beat easy but didn't the next time he gets a shot of a real title he be about 36
PG TG and Alec M haven't got the power to pull titles off or TV deals

Haha Billy every one is wee compared to you but hardly a prick as you say!! As I keep telling you I will say it how it is and not behind people's backs. Last night I was very disappointed in the show I left after the 3rd fight Mikey Towell which was ok.. As for 50/50 fights I heard that they weren't again can't comment as never watched the fights. As for poor ticket sales I can only speak for Ronnie who sold 100 tickets in 2 weeks with no opponent named in anyone's book that is good going.. Towell sold about 60 was mostly Dundee fight fans from what I could see.. As for good move we will wait and see but I'm honest enough to say last night was pretty gutting security trying to spoil an atmosphere.. I think the harsh reality of how hard it is to get anyone to fight Ronnie is very hard opponents point blank refusing does he have to wait to get mandated to fight for titles... I was impressed with Michael Roberts snr and Jnr who came in for a bit of stick from some of Ronnie's fans they seemed to take it as banter. I did try to stop it but the boys were steaming and it was quite funny!! Overall no point dwelling and onwards and upwards :).. Billy so easy to get you to bite and again you just remember desert comes after main course not during ;) x

Davie you certainly aren't getting me to bite,last night show was a disaster for all concerned boxers,promoters and fans who paid there good money for there tickets.
You have so much to learn about boxing and the politics of boxing I will leave it at that.
I hope Ronnies next fight is a meaningful one or a guy with talent could get wasted

Billy you think I don't know about the politics I have seen it first hand. Also I speak to a lot of people in boxing. 1) I was a massive boxing fan before Ronnie even boxed 2) I know exactly everything that goes on for fight nights.. I fairness yesterday was a disaster no doubting that.. I paid for my ticket and I'm not happy and he's my brother.. It's hard to take when he's worked so Hard to sell soo many tickets in such a short time space.. As for opponents his last opponent is seriously over looked this boy has beat Carl Frampton in the Amateurs he was no journeyman or mug.. He was actually very very decent. As for fights in the future really people need to take the fights.. Boys 2 weights above saying no. Ronnie is a very good boxer but is still learning he needs to move through the levels I really hope he starts getting the fights he deserves on proper notice.. Back on to the show I didn't stay to make a comment but it wasn't full.. Really I will leave it to others to give their opinions but I'm sure some people enjoyed it

just like beltran was doing well against Ricky before being robbed don't think its a smoke screen either why would Derry be worried about fighting somebody who's been flattening no body's in Ghana on paper tho record looks impressive majority of people with padded records get found out when they step up a level

Agree with pretty much whole post there, Regarding the exhibition absolute disgrace. Wasnt due to tickets sales though, Ronnie sold near a 100 tickets i think. Got a semi confirmation on the thursday. I believe the ticket target for Ronnie they didnt believe he could do it so didnt set a proper fight up until the tickets sold then made an arse of it:) my opinion for what its worth but wont be going back anytime soon. :)

So you're saying that PG n TG didn't believe RC ticket sales till he got there if that's true how can he trust them to push him forward up here on shows The MC said the other guy called off at 4 and they had been trying very hard to get a replacement and couldn't get one so thanked Doyle for stepping in to do the exhibition.. RC was to fight a guy who had at least a 5 hour travel in front of him so I can't see him calling off at 4 so as I said lies getting told to your man
Maybe RC will get on the next dinner show TG has

Whos the fighters 2 weights above that have said NO that might be one of those lies yous are getting told for a ego boost im sure Billy can tell us these things happen to keep boxers happen when things aren't going their way with fights coming up

My opinion on tommy is of my own and if Ronnie trusts that then he needs to get on with it. There is no pressure on Ronnie for dinner shows as they sell themselfs and i can only speak for myself in saying I wont be attending another dinner show. Being told what to wear, keep jacket on etc not my cup of tea if im paying that kind of money im not away to sit and sweat all night and in general its a piss atmosphere:) Ronnie was fighting a fighter who fought at welterweight last friday night. Boxing is some kind of joke in my eyes and obviosly helping ronnie sell tickets etc I cant look people in the eye and say they got value for money as no fault of Ronnie they were ripped off. No way of beating around the bush to pay that kinda money for that was laughable sorry.

That's why I said get on the next dinner show because there sold by TG and the boxer gets a couple of half priced tickets but can still sell tickets if he wants and your table is at the back of the hall unlike you I like the dress code because I like to get my kilt on iv been to loads over the years always as a guest and I will put money on this RC will be the boxer of the month for the last show that's TG way of keeping his fighters happy

Tommy can try fob him off with a boxer of the month if he likes that wont make him happy,I dont think a leading promotor could keep him happy as his ambition is unreal he isnt happy with fighting journeyman on a dinner show. Ronnie wants to fight and will fight anyone domestically if he gets 8 weeks notice which he hasnt had in 12 contests upto now. Most notice hes had is like 3 weeks.

No I don't know him as for 8 weeks notice at this level your lucky to get a day before weigh in Im sure under that last manager TL he had more than 3 weeks notice for the Home shows and I got told he lost money doing those shows and the one in Edinburgh as well only TL will know the truth about ££
maybe TG will run one up there after all he puts shows on in Inverness and Aberdeen
Has RC had 4 managers since turning over TL BN back to TL now with TG in RC words TG is one of the best in Britain maybe he was a right few years ago but like Alec M getting past there sell buy date I think they don't seem to run enough shows anymore BN had a couple of shows then that stopped ??
I think TG has a show soon in Paisley maybe get RC on that

Not sure regarding billy think he just trained him? Could be wrong. In fairness to tony he did try his best but he was based In Glasgow and let davidee do most of the work in dundee and was dependant on ronnie selling te show himself so would not surprise me regarding running a loss but don't know the facts. Home shows for ronnie consisted of having no opponent till week before constantly worrying the show will be pulled due to pull outs and ticket sales in which he was selling a few hundred yet still needing to do more hence why he went with tommy. Worry about fights not the promotion:) feel sorry on him as bit of a waste of time training hard but seems to be Scottish boxing on general with Morrison show peppered with pull puts and dropping show. Que billy coming on and Ricky is the saviour and Morrison would get ronnie fights etc. Yawn:)

Stopping Kris Hughes and Paul Truscott.
Sure they would be delighted to be referred to in this way. One a former Commonwealth holder and one a challenger.
I can tell you Dave Coldwell did not want to put Derry in with Commey (sensible) and I think Dave knows what he is doing.
Derry will fight anybody but his management will advise and decide. They won't put him in with Commey!
