I thought Frampton's defence was poor tonight. Might have a bit to do with trying to draw Parodi out to fight him but he was hit a dozen times with the left hook over and over.

His right hand was too low.

To be honest mate, Parodi made it tough because for large portions he was backtracking and Frampton was having to push the action and thus he was open to being pot shotted by Parodi as he was coming forward. On top of that, Parodi doesnt have much pop so Carl was a bit more careless.

I understand that, but it seems a bit pointless to take left hooks just to draw someone out to fight if you are winning anyway - more trying to impress the crowd. You don't want to see bad habits develop over time that a bigger hitter can take advantage of.

Frampton does have an open style - we seen him taking some big shots in the Martinez fight - as someone mentioned before.

On the good side - he has the chin to take most blows.......... On the bad side, it's not clever.

I thought frampton showed good head movement at times when required although he did get caught with a few shots. He was using the same slip movement well to step inside and deliver body shots and uppercuts. I also thought his range of punching was superb.

Overall, i was impressed by him again.

Must say that the atmosphere was amazing again last night. Whether the Odyssey, King's Hall, Ulster Hall etc there is usually a good atmosphere but that was something again.

Agree Steve. Didn't think was going to be as mental as Kiko fight cos that was a big fight, well known name in Ireland after Dunne KO and a risk. But that was another level again. Blown away with how mental it was. Thought Carl was very good, Parodi durable and took some stick yet still tried to make a fight out of it and threw back. Think next has to be a world title shot. Quigg highly unlikely due to TV, plus Quigg's title is bullshit, Rigo is WBA champion

Hearn has made an offer, 3x times what Frampton has been paid before, but the fight must take place in Manchester on Sky. Just like all the bullshit offers Warren makes, this won't be accepted for obvious reasons.

I really like Frampton but will someone please tell mr cyclone it's not the Barry Mcguigan show.

I admit I know nothing about how promotions work, but I would have thought in order to make a big offer they would need to guarantee to sell out a big venue. So surely the best chance of that is either Manchester or Belfast, and Hearns obviously not going ask for Belfast on allegedly. Or would they do it in in a neutral venue like Birmingham?

I can't see Sky being an issue because I think it was a 3 fight deal, but Manchester makes zero sense. Frampton is probably the best supported fighter in Britain(including Froch) so for him to travel is ridiculous when a Quigg fight outdoors in the summer could see 15,000+ show up in Belfast.
