it's a fight that would sell well in the uk. one guy thats on the outskirts of world level and another predicted to get there in the not too distant future.
there was a lot of interest in a frampton vs quigg fight, this may make a decent substitute for the fans

I don't think Galahad is at framptons level and I just think Frampton would bully him round the ring then stop him in the later rounds I don't think it would be a good fight I however think quigg vs Galahad would be a better match up and far more exciting fight to watch

Just because KG looks good in sparring that doesn't mean much unless he shows it on fight night. I've seen his fights on C5 but I've not seen him play with anyone at British level. I have though seen Frampton beat Kiko and look good in the process, amongst other solid wins as well. I think there is a bigger gap here than there is between Froch and Groves. Galahad is only 23 he's got time to improve and gain experience, give it 2 years and who knows.

I've seen more than enough to know I'm not talking bollocks, mate. I'm not sure what I've missed from quigg and frampton this past 12 months, though. Neither has looked great and I don't think either would be able to handle the pace against Galahad. Sorry for making it hard for you though mate.

They spar together a lot, Kell never walks through him.

I'm sure they do, but it is completely different. I know lads in our gym who are at completely different levels who have competitive spars.

I'm not mickey. The poster said that Galahad hasn't boxed above British level and I pointed out that Frampton only had twice and one of those was ranked below Galahad.

I have to admire the Sheffield boxing fans' support of their local fighters, but sometimes the blind faith shown is just crazy.

I'm sure KG will be world class in a couple of years, he looks impressive - Frampton is currently world class and would win now, if they fought

Barry Awad would fight anyone in his weight division, unfortunately the opponent decisions are made by manager and promoter. I think Hennessy keeps away from Frampton etc at moment, the Euro is now vacant so I expect galahad to fight for the vacant title against Parodi or Djelkhir. When euro champion I expect Galahad to go down the Mijares or Wake route to the title.

Molitor at the time, while on the slide, was a former world champion and a solid win. Parodi is a good tough Euro level fighter, if he fought Galahad tomorrow I think it would be a 50/50 fight, in my eyes anyway. Then there is obviously Kiko... While Galahad's best win was JD and lets be honest if he's as special as you say he is he would of out boxed him no problem, no offence to JD. I really am not a Galahad hater I just want him to show his talents on fight night against good opposition first

Barry is an easy fight allegedly so would be the perfect tune up for a World title tilt.
Instead Frampton vacates and will probably fight some unknown Eastern European in a 10 rounder.
That says to me that Barry is a significant risk to team Frampton.
As Horse says - lets see who he fights next - then we can decide whether duck is on the menu.
Can you imagine the debate on here if it was someone from Sheffield that vacated in similar circumstances ?

I imagine that neither boxer is 'afraid' of the other and Frampton has more to lose and lite to gain in a bout v Galahad. Smart and experienced minds are around Frampton, Quigg and Galahad. Frampton will box someone he can look ferocious against to get a foothold in the American Irish market. For me, all are very good and I'd have Quigg as the best of the 3 with Frampton and then Galahad; I can't blame him for wanting to jump straight in there; he's nothing to lose and everything to gain - does boxing work like that though?

If someone from Sheffield did vacate in similar circumstances then some would point the finger, some would try to understand the reason and those who knew the boxer or the gym would defend the boxer to the end of the earth.
